About the job

Manage a team that responsible execution of material/fabric & trims development, capacity planning, with well textile material knowledge and communication skills to implement materials sourcing strategy plan, collaborate with cross function within Asia Liaison Offices Network.Facilitate and monitor all fabric/trim developments process till commercialization successful and timely accordance to seasonal calendar. This position requires enterprise mindset, to ensure Columbia Sportswear developments and qualities are the best products meet Company requirement.

Material Development and Innovation: Maximize the strength of material vendors supply base and resources, provide and share vendors performance evaluation comments with Home Office cross function teams, such as PIT, HOMR, Material Sourcing & Costing team.

Material Capacity Planning: Manage seasonal forecast with vendors, ensure Raw Materials Vendors are well planned to meet desire delivery according to buy requirements timely, monitoring material/fabric + trims delivery performance meet Finished Goods Vendors capacity.Monitor and manage vendors on time performance, identify vendors improvement area, avoid any unnecessary delay issue repeatedly happen.

Material Sourcing: Evaluation of vendors performance, include development capability, quality, price, communications, flexibility capacity management, OTP. Share and review comments with Home Office - what is the best suitable fabric item/PDM allocation to vendors that align with company business strategy.

Team Development: Coaching teammates include development direction, communication skill with Raw Materials Vendor, capacity planning, textile knowledge sharing, collaborate with cross function team, how to identify working process that enable download ownership to vendors, support problem solving verify root caused, building up enterprise mind set.

Problem Solving: Support and managing problem solving, together with cross function teams, Production Liaison Office, Materials Quality Engineers, QA, Liaison Office Merchandising, Sourcing Liaison Office teams.

Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in field of textile or other manufacturing related degree with at least 8 years of experience in a leadership role or 3 additional years experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Understanding of the SCS and international business.

Understanding of manufacturing process including sourcing, development, production and quality control.

Ability to communicate clearly in order to work with stakeholders of all levels.

Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks to achieve maximum productivity.
