ABOUT THE POSITION

Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable digital solutions across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support across a range of platforms and services to enhance the consumer experience in an ever-evolving industry.

The eCommerce Principal Full Stack Developer participates and leads implementation of developer problem-resolution and produces solutions to highly complex programmatic issues that meet the needs of consumers.

HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT
Collaborates with other developers to understand, adapt, and execute project goals with business stakeholders

Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and optimizes eCommerce platforms

Focuses on written technical documentation and specifications when designing architecture

Creates extensible and sustainable designs that leverage the architecture team design patters

Facilitates technical discussions with developers, stakeholders, and PMO to ensure alignment of project scope and plan.

Develops server and client-side JavaScript to meet the needs of our customers

Implements third-party REST APIs to integrate into eCommerce stack to meet customer needs

Designs and builds reusable code and libraries to meet the needs of stakeholders


YOU ARE
Principal Full Stack Developer that participates and leads implementation of developer problem-resolution and produces solutions to highly complex programmatic issues that meet the needs of consumers


YOU HAVE
Bachelors degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience

8+ years experience with total professional software development

6+ years of JavaScript development experience (server side & client side), including different asynchronous patterns like events, callbacks and promises

8+ years of experience in working in a version control environment (Git / Mercurial)

4+ years of experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g. Hybris, ATG, Magento, SFCC, WebSphere Commerce) is preferred

10+ years of experience with full-stack development (including Java, .NET/C#, Node.js, or similar technologies)

Experience working with SFRA (SaaS eCommerce platform) preferred

6+ years of experience with JavaScript pre-compilers like CoffeeScript and TypeScript

5+ years of experience with CSS pre-processing tools like LESS and SASS

Experience working with JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap, Angular, Ember or React for building single-page applications

6+ years of experience writing unit tests utilizing Mocha, Chai, Sinon or other testing libraries

10+ years of experience implementing 3rd party REST APIs

Experience with responsive web design

8+ years working with XML and XSLT

Effectively conducted technical discussions directly with project management and project stakeholders

Exceptional attention to detail with ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects at once

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Worked effectively with a large, cross functional, globally dispersed team

Ability to teach new technologies and methodologies to others

Experience working with or willing to learn AWS, SaaS, HTML5, SCSS, React/Redux, SFCC
