ABOUT THE POSITION

The Distribution Center HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant on HR-related needs and assess and integrates HR-related needs. Communicating those needs proactively, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions in partnerships with HR Centers of Excellence and Shared Services. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of Business Literacy about the business unit's strategy, goals, culture, and competition.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Builds relationships of trust and respect across the team to facilitate effective coaching and guidance on leading through significant change, talent moves and selection and overall business execution.
Participate with business in leadership meetings, off-site strategic sessions; facilitate development and strategic discussion with leadership team.
Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies specific to business unit needs.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues in partnership with Employee Relations function.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions in partnership with employee relations).
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation as needed.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs to support the business unit objectives.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Regional partners are additionally responsible for more operational activities as it relates to local laws and regulations.US partners will utilize shared services for support as it relates to HR operations and employee support for HR specific needs.

Strategic, applying data, best practices, and innovation to support Columbia Sportswear employees within a Distribution Space. Not only develops the strategy, but the plan and drives to execution.
Adept at building rapport and maintaining cross functional relationships for the purpose of collaboration, problem solving, Leadership Coaching, Talent Development, and execution focus.
Continuous improvement focused, capable of advancing and leading complex programs and system design.

YOUHAVE
Minimum 8-10 years of Human Resources or related experience.
Applied, proven experience developing and executing on global business transformations.
Demonstrated performance driving HR strategy in a highly dynamic, matrixed environment.
Ability to execute both operationally and strategically.
Exemplary communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization - associate to executive
Exceptional project management and organizational skills and the ability to translate complex projects into straightforward communications.
