About the Position
Although we're an apparel and footwear focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswears Digital Technology (CDT) team enables an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams design and support all of the various technologies and platforms used to deliver a great customer experience.

As Columbias Infrastructure technologies evolve, we need to ensure we have a technically sound, innovative, and scalable plan to meet future demands. Our Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team is looking for an experienced IAM (Identify Access Management) Engineer as part of that effort. The IAM Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering, troubleshooting, analysis, and technical design related to the development and operation of Columbia Sportswears Identity Management technologies.

You should have expertise in Microsoft and other authentication and identity technologies including development of associated business and technical workflows and associated automation. This role will encompass the technical design and continual improvement of Columbias role-based security framework. You will be responsible for schema designs, technical and business workflows, and operational planning.

You will work with the IAM Principal Engineer/Architect to automate and shift left routine functions to enable Operations staff to quickly respond to customer requests and to resolve potential issues.

This role is available to work in office at our corporate headquarters in Portland Oregon, hybrid remote or fully remote in all US states except for Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.


HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Ensure that solutions protect information resources against unauthorized use, inappropriate degrees of access, disclosure, damage and/or loss
Test, implement, integrate, and operate Identity Access Management (IAM) systems and solutions including technologies such as Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD)
Leverage technical problem solving and troubleshooting to ensure projects deliver on time.
Troubleshoot and manage the resolution of issues related to identities, systems, access, accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions.
Determine and recommend the best response to complex problems and defects by assessing impact and prioritization
Ensure the maintenance, patching, operation, and monitoring of IAM systems
Facilitate the continuous adoption, training, communication, and education of IAM capabilities, functions, and standards
Promote, and advise on solutions and best practices by using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
Participate in an on-call rotation for solving Priority 1 and 2 problems when they arise
Be motivated to work with other teams at Columbia to achieve results in a global, complex environment


YOU HAVE
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and a minimum of 3 years of technical experience working in IAM
Hands-on technical experience in identity and access management (IAM) solutions
Experience with Linux and Windows scripting in Python, PowerShell and Ansible
Self-motivated, self-directed, and committed to improving your skills
Eager to learn and open explore various projects outside of your job scope
Innovative with strong troubleshooting skills and good judgement to solve various complex problems

BONUS THINGS TO HAVE
Current CIAM, CAMS, CIMP or other IAM related certification.
Experience with Linux based authentication methods and integration RBAC into a heavy Windows environment.
