ABOUT THE POSITION

In this role you will be responsible for creating technical sketches of assigned apparel and accessory products by collaborating closely with cross functional partners. You will work closely with design and product development to ensure design integrity, quality, and accuracy are met/maintained and that products are developed within established timelines.

You will also be responsible for entering color data into our Bill of Materials for global Salesman Samples as well as for Production. In addition, this role is responsible for creating seasonal color cadbooks for cross-functional partners including merchandising, catalog/marketing teams, content hub & the photo studio.

You will have the opportunity to interact with cross functional partners involved in apparel, surface and graphics design, product merchandising, materials research, manufacturing & marketing.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Responsible for creating, maintaining and providing accurate apparel and accessory technical illustrations and construction details for more complex product throughout the development season. This includes Outerwear product and/or a higher volume of technical Sportswear product.
Responsible for creating originalCADartwork with more complexity, consisting of colorblocking, graphic placement, print,pattern& texture fills, that isproductionready for catalog as well as for visual presentations. This includesbuilding seasonal cad books for internal customers including Merchandising, Design & Catalog.
Responsible for entering pertinent color information into the Bill of Materials in PDM, including fabric and trim color information. Work performed will have substantial impact to theglobal sales sample & product assortment.Information entered is critical and must be accurate as well as follow brand standards.
Responsible for Salesman Sample exception report and reviewing with cross-functional team on salesman sample execution/evaluation. Help with compiling team information and publishing the exception report.
Attend style reviews and fit sessions for assigned category and perform other duties as assigned.

Skilled with written and verbal communication to deal with various levels of management and employees within the organization as well as vendors and worldwide personnel.

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience with course work in apparel design, textile, manufacturing, graphics or related experience.
Three to Five years work experience in apparel design/development, or related field OR equivalent work experience in the apparel industry. Experience with outdoor industry and apparel category preferred
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Illustrator
Requires exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills as well as critical attention to detail
Proficient knowledge of fabrics and trims associated with the development process.
Proficient knowledge of general design process from concept to pre-production & garment construction methods.
