ABOUT THE POSITION
Columbia Sportswears dynamic global Supply Chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to get products to market quickly, safely, and in the most cost-effective manner. Our Distribution Centers utilize state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated team to provide Columbia Sportswear Company a competitive advantage in distribution. Teams are responsible for shipping more than 35 million units of apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment annually within the family of brands. Accurate order fulfillment and on-time shipments are the hallmarks of our facility.

As an Administrative Coordinator you will provides analytical and specialized administrative support to distribution senior management by performing critical and confidential administrative duties and coordinating the production of correspondence and work projects. As well as maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff, and other departments to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.


HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Collaborate on strategic objectives, execution of priorities and weekly deliverables
Performs administrative tasks such as composing letters and reports from verbal instructions or written notes/drafts; schedules appointments and coordinates calendars; keeps outlook and contact lists updated; maintaining conference room schedule
Attends various meetings to take minutes and transcribes the minutes for follow up communication. Maintains follow-up on action required
Coordinates travel arrangements, hotel, and car accommodations, and planning of itineraries
Coordination of various onsite and offsite meetings including sending invitations to attendees, reserving the facility and equipment needed, ordering catering, etc.
Facilitate product orders for all corporate incentive global merchandising and/or marketing facility or employee material
Screens incoming calls, mail and personal visits and evaluates the relative importance of each and handles appropriately
Performs other duties as assigned


YOU ARE
Able to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
A highly motivated self-starter and can work with a minimum of supervision; this is an important requirement
Equipped with a demonstrated record of excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationship with all internal contacts/coworkers
Able to collaborate and influence others
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position
Able and are well-developed to speak, read and write English, including writing clear and concise business communication
Able to handle that this position may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week to complete priority projects. Job pressure exists in the balancing of a variety of projects. Exposure to a computer CRT and sitting for extended periods


YOU HAVE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required 5 or more years of related experience
Broad and thorough knowledge and understanding of procedures in own work area. Basic understanding of policies and procedures in other departments
Handled critical and confidential material always necessitating discretion
Done work that requires the setup and maintenance of sensitive files related to your business unit/department needs/requirements, general correspondence, etc. (e.g., Distribution Center)
Fully proficient skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, including the ability to create presentations using PowerPoint and/or other presentation software
A demonstrated history of excellent organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to prioritize many tasks and complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Ability to work under limited supervision and exercise independent judgment
Strong problem-solving skills including experience providing solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or occur infrequently based on existing precedents or procedures
Handled tasks that require some judgment. May adapt several procedures, processes, and tools to resolve issues
A record of referring only the most complex issues to senior personnel. Impacts and influences the performance of other job
