ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswears Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.
The eCommerce team powers our US and Canada Columbia.com sites as well as our Customer Care Center. From merchandising and marketing to product management and technology, the consumer is at the center of everything we do. And, the eCommerce team is known for the relentless improvement of the customer experience-always striving for a better, faster, easier experience.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will use your solid understanding of command line interface (CLI), OS interfaces, SysOps - including account creation and permissions structures - Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and Scripting to take a more active role in managing infrastructure projects, releases, processes and tools in a moderately supervised context. This position requires a keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and mature communication skills.

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Ensure timely delivery and releases across SFCC, AWS, and AEM codebases
Build and extend our Jenkins and Bitbucket pipelines
Create and maintain instances of AWS and SFCC
Oversee Account creation and management for our Users within AWS, SFCC, Jira, Bitbucket, AEM, Adyen, and Proof of Concept (POC) trials
Utilize Scripting and OOP languages to extend and bind environments and custom extensions
Work with Senior DevOps Engineers and architects in the creation and implementation of Tools that facilitate development, QA, business, and release processes

You enjoy keeping up with the latest practices for eCommerce, CI/CD, and automation


YOU HAVE
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineeringor related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
2-4 years of in DevOps or relevant experience in IT and SysOps, SysAdmin positions
2-4 years of demonstrable experience with a scripting or Object Oriented Programming (OOP) language
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a distributed version control environment (Git / Subversion (SVN))
Demonstrable experience using GitFlow
Advanced knowledge in web based release processes
Advanced knowledge and practice of Agile principles as they relate to Scrum, Sprint planning, Project management, and Release
2-3 years direct experience building and maintaining Jenkins and BitBucket Pipelines
Direct experience in creating and extending Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) environments
2-3 years production experience configuring and standing up Salesforce demandware & AWS instances a plus
