ABOUT THE POSITIONThe eCommerce team powers our US and Canada Columbia.com sites as well as our Customer Care Center. From merchandising and marketing to product management and technology, the consumer is at the center of everything we do. And, the eCommerce team is known for the relentless improvement of the customer experience-always striving for a better, faster, easier experience.
The eCommerce Technology team is looking for a Full Stack Developer. As a Full Stack Level 2, you will develop server/client-side code and build scale-able, distributed, component-based objects that meets the needs of our consumers. This is the perfect opportunity for a developer who enjoys wearing multiple hats , exposure to Free range development and has an interest in eCommerce
HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE Develop, test, deploy, and optimize our eCommerce platform and integrations, utilizing academic standards and best practices
Work closely with fellow developers to learn, absorb, and execute project goals.
Develop both server and client-side JavaScript
Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Implement 3rd REST APIs
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Optimize sites for maximum speed, usability, and reliability
YOU AREFlexible to changing priorities to accommodate the changing needs of our business
Able to participate in an Agile development environment and be willing to take on various roles as needed
Able to work effectively with a large cross functional globally dispersed team.
Comfortable teaching yourself/learning new technologies and methodologies
Able to share experience, review peers work and help build stronger team.
Able to apply and speak to design patterns relative to your work.
Comfortable working with or willing to learn AWS, SaaS, HTML5, CSS, React/Redux
YOUHAVE2+ years of total professional software development experience
1+years of JavaScript development experience (server side & client side), including different asynchronous patterns like events, callbacks and promises
2+ years of experience in working in a distributed version control environment (Git / Mercurial)
1-3 years experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g. Hybris, ATG, Magento, SFCC Commerce Cloud, WebSphere Commerce) a plus
1-2+ years of experience with full-stack development (including Java, .NET/C#, Node.js, or similar technologies)
Experience working with Demandware (SaaS eCommerce platform) and/or willingness to make a long-term commitment to becoming a proficient Demandware platform developer
1+ years of experience with JavaScript pre-compilers like CoffeeScript and TypeScript
1+ years of experience with CSS pre-processing tools like LESS and SASS
Experience working with JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap, Angular.js, Ember.js or React for building single-page applications
2+ years of experience implementing 3rdparty SOAP and REST APIs
Experience with responsive web design
2+ years working with XML and XSLT
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables
Ability and willingness to be on call from time to time to respond to production support issues
