ABOUT THE POSITION
CSCs Global Financial Compliance & Risk (GFC) team plays an important role in partnering with the business and management to design and deploy programs that mitigate the risk of material misstatement, while effectively responding to ongoing changes and shifts in dynamics. Our program affects a variety of critical stakeholders including the Audit Committee, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Internal Audit Director as well as the investor community that relies on the accuracy and completeness of the financial information we report.
The Sr. Environmental Health and Safety Program Manager plays a leading role in Columbias efforts to create, manage, and implement safe workplace protocols for Columbias retail stores and corporate offices for all Columbia Sportswear Company brands. This role will leverage their knowledge of environmental compliance and workplace health and safety to create, train and lead program development to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements governing environmental protection and occupational safety and health standards.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Develop a strategy for the evolution and implementation of a health and safety culture and standards for US Retail Stores and corporate/brand headquarter offices.
Provide technical expertise and leadership to support operational compliance with governmental safety standards.
Develop and write regulatory safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with current occupational safety regulations and other applicable environmental, health, or safety legislation impacting operations.
Implement and integrate written safety programs into the operational fabric of the business. Create, facilitate, and support safety training and orientations to maintain compliance with standards and improve the safety and health of employees.
Develop and implement audit processes and procedures to measure compliance.
Develop and disseminate key safety performance metrics to track and monitor the overall health of the companys safety program.
Develop and implement location inspection and risk assessment tools to help identify safety, health, and environmental risks. Work with locations to identify and implement corrective actions.
Monitor environmental compliance and assure timely internal and external reporting.
Manage waste and hazardous materials and ensure regulatory compliant disposal where necessary.

YOU ARE
Proactive, information seeking, with the ability to take complexed governmental standards and digest them into actional programs for managers, supervisors, and employees
A partner, building strong working relationships across the organization to help support environmental health and safety efforts
Familiar with Windows-based platforms and have the computer and data management skills to effectively manage those systems to communicate, create reports, build written programs, and create training tools
An analyst to your core, driven to probe complex problems quantitatively and qualitatively

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety, or related field required
4-8 years of related experience
Experience working on large scale projects with cross-functional teams
Experience developing and delivering presentations on environmental health and safety compliance topics to all levels of management and employees
A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification or equivalent is desired
Ability to work independently with limited direction and with a high degree of professionalism
Complete the work beyond a high standard and before deadlines, consistently
