ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswears Global Information Services (GIS) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

The Retail Store Systems Support Specialist acts as liaison between Retail Store Personnel, Software, Equipment and Deployment vendors, Technical Services Teams, and the Retail IT group. This critical position ensures that Retail goals and store impacts are considered when changes are made in store systems and configurations. The Retail Store Systems Support Specialist communicates broadly to a diverse group of people that include leadership, vendors, technical and non-technical support personnel.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Advanced analysis of problems or issues, as they are reported. Work with technical support and other IS groups as required on problem determination, solution implementation and thorough documentation of progress and results.

Timely and professional handling of incoming tasks and effective assignment of issues to field support vendors. This includes documentation, escalation, and closure. Third party vendor management and ticket trending is also required.

Design, develop, and maintain store procedures that promote retail efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation as it relates to either new store openings or ongoing store support.

Analyze procedures and assist in determining the most effective use of computer and human resources.

Assist in developing and executing test scenarios for new or modified store systems and/or processes.

Design and develop training, training schedules, and conduct employee training sessions that provide general awareness and specific knowledge needed to understand and fully utilize stores systems. The audience will include Store Managers, Networking, Desktop, and Service Desk personnel.

Assigned as project lead or project manager for key corporate system initiatives and will direct the workflow of the group. In this role, works with division heads and super users to develop business strategy and system requirements. Leads the project team in creating and adhering to implementation timelines, oversees testing, brings the system online, and ensures users receive appropriate training.

Offers expertise with hardware coordination and support.

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field

Five years professional experience in corporate retail store support in lieu of a degree

Strong collaboration, presentation, listening, written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated expertise to understand, translate, and clearly articulate technical concepts with diverse individuals and groups

Proven ability to manage vendors through detailed instruction and accountability
