ABOUT THE POSITION

The North America Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team focuses on our outlet, brand, and employee stores within the US and Canada. From merchandising to retail marketing to retail operations,there is a highly collaborative team working behind the scenes to ensure our consumers have a positive experience in our stores.

The Retail Operations Training and Communications Manager supports Direct-to-Consumer stores across North America with a blend of training and communications expertise. This position is responsible for developing strategic programs that inspire and drive employee development as well as streamlining information sharing between our corporate teams and retail stores. This person will lead a team that designs initiative and role-based training curriculum and ensure our stores have the information they need to drive business results.


HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Coaches, develops, and motivates employees to perform and contribute to Columbia Sportswear Company. Effectively manages day-to-day activities to accomplish team goals and makes decisions to achieve business results, directs cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and relevant content on the CSC retail portal.
Manages and leads functional team members to develop and maintain training programs and curriculum designed to develop retail employees; leverages various design methodologies and partners across the organization to develop structure and content.
Effectively manages communication between corporate partners and retail field leadership including retail store teams; engages leaders across the organization to drive accountability to process execution.
Leads the development of training and communication strategies that support the implementation of new processes, systems, and tools; utilizes organizational change management tools and best practices to drive adoption and ensures communication plans include relevant teams and stakeholders.
Leads team responsible for defining business and functional requirements for new tools and system.
capabilities within discipline; manages functional prioritization and partners with technology teams to implement tools and system changes.
Partners with functional leader to define and develop organizational strategy, influences senior leaders to gain buy-in and support.
Performs other duties as assigned.


YOU ARE
Skilled in organizational change management
Strong interpersonal presentation and facilitation skills to effectively operate in cross-functional environment
Effective communicator both verbally and written, with employees at all levels of the organization


YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree in Learning and Development, Communications or related discipline
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Power Point) required
Experience leading and managing a cross-functional team to deliver results
Solid project management experience preferred including strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
Advanced experience designing and developing training curriculum
Certification in Human Centered Design or Design Thinking Methodology preferred
Strong retail business acumen preferred
