ABOUT THE POSITION

Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable digital solutions across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support across a range of platforms and services to enhance the consumer experience in an ever-evolving industry.

The Director of Agile Practices is an experienced leadership position ensuring consistent practices to improve continuous delivery for critical business and technology capabilities. This integral role will be focused on establishing a unified approach requiring deep knowledge and experience, influential leadership, and significant cross-team collaboration to achieve enterprise alignment.

This leader will work across multiple levels within the Columbia Digital Technology (CDT) organization as well as with other departments to evangelize and steward the mindset and progressive use of agile. This process will involve defining and reinforcing common standards while thoughtfully coaching leaders, teams, and individuals toward this desired outcome.

This role will champion cultural change through servant leadership in advancing team adoption, development, and growth. The position will pursue continuous improvement in partnership with the digital portfolio function in evaluating metrics-based measurements and flexibly adjusting direction as needed during our ongoing journey.


HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a thought leader, guide others to promote broader/deeper understanding of agile throughout the enterprise
Leverage deep knowledge to provide practical instruction to agile practitioners and those performing the work
Pioneer, create, maintain, and update documentation of agile standards and practices
Oversee team level adoption and coach usage of consistent agile standards and practices
Administer a unified agile training framework, including available certifications
Establish partnership with product leadership, digital program and portfolio management
Analyze key metric measures of team performance and trends for continuous improvement
Supervise vendors, contractors, managers, and employees in the roles of scrum master, lean practitioner, agile coach, etc. providing support for team adoption and agile delivery
As a thought leader, guide others to promote broader/deeper understanding of agile throughout the enterprise

YOU ARE
Passionate about leading and directing Agile practices
A Champion for cultural change through servant leadership in advancing team adoption, development, and growth
Relentless in your pursuit for continuous improvement in partnership with the digital portfolio function in evaluating metrics-based measurements

YOU HAVE
Bachelors degree or relevant work experience
10+ years of progressively increasing Information Technology Leadership and Management experience in a complex global environment
Solid leadership presence, relationship building, and emotional intelligence
Demonstrated experience working with high performing empowered teams, creating commitment and enthusiasm to achieve goals and embrace transformation
3+ years of large-scale agile coaching experience with scrum
3+ years experience coaching teams leveraging lean and/or kanban methodologies
One or more related agile practitioner certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM, CSP, PSM, PMI-ACP)
Experience and knowledge of agile collaboration toolsets such as Jira
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, analytical capabilities with attention to detail
