ABOUT THE POSITION
Columbia Sportswears dynamic global supply chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to get products to market quickly, safely, and in the most cost-effective manner. By leveraging data analytics, we are constantly pushing to make smarter business decisions and identifying innovative ways to make Columbia Sportswears supply chain more efficient and effective to meet our consumers ever-changing needs.

As a Senior Apparel Costing Analyst, you will be driving innovative data analytical solutions that empower and inform cross-functional apparel product creation and sourcing teams to make better and faster decisions to achieve margin expectation.

HOWYOU WILLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Support predictable, competitive, and sustainable product costs initiatives by assisting in development of E2Ecostingframework focused on standardization
Partner with broader Liaison office and Product Engineering teams to develop and implement cost standards, tools, and processes that enable efficient and accurate product cost
Lead the development of vendor costing scorecard and the monitoring of productcostingperformance framework, KPIs and the communication process
Analyze costing reports to prep for margin review meetings, identify trends and work with cross functional teams to build the messaging to finance and merchandising leadership
Assist in managing the economic outlook process from forecasting to presentation
Influence and support sourcing strategies to maximize benefits of macro and micro economic trends and global free trade agreements
Drive adherence to financial calendar

YOU ARE
Excellent at written and verbal communication and have well developed interpersonal skills. Well versed in these qualities, which are key to be successful in this role
Able to work well with individuals from different countries and cultures
Curious, critical thinker, complex problem solver, skilled at managing large data strategy/trends, understanding of process, tools, and connection to outcome
Able to understand ambiguity and can work in an evolving environment
Highly detailed, accurate and analytical
Able to read, write, and speak English, within daily activities and ability to communicate with vendors and global employees
Capable to deal with work and time pressures to accomplish job requirements in an efficient and effective manner

YOUHAVE
Experience & knowledge in data visualization tools like Power BI
Fully proficient Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.)
Intermediate to advanced skills in building and deploying Excel macros/VBA for use by others and proficient in the use of visualization tools,
Bachelors degree in a Business-related field with emphasis in economics, accounting, finance, or combination of relevant education & experience
Knowledge of cost drivers, manufacturing is a plus but not a must as can be taught
5 years or more of experience in data analytics and/or data visualization,
Capability to deal with this role that may require 50 hours per week (or more at times), usually with 8 -10-hour days. Attendance at evening/weekend meetings may be required
Position may require occasional international travel, maximum two trips a year with each trip being not more than two weeks
