ABOUT THE POSITION

This role is the creative lead for special projects including collaborations, licensed partnerships, and team sponsorships. The Sr. Manager Special Projects will work with the VP- Brand Development, Global Partnerships and Licensing to create the strategic vision for Columbia Brand product collaborations and will lead product strategy and design efforts for those projects.

This role is also responsible for leading cross-functional product creation teams to design, develop and manufacture the special products needed for our Brand ambassadors and sponsored professional athletes. This role will also be responsible for on-boarding new partners (including licensees) to ensure that the output of collab and licensed product is consistent with the strategic vision, design direction and other standards of the Columbia brand.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Develop collaboration strategy for the Columbia brand and seek third-party partners in furtherance of that strategy. Evaluate other opportunities as they arise. Manage the portfolio of external partners and special projects calendar to hit annual department KPIs.

Create special project line plans that maximize sales and achieve marketing objectives in alignment with the Columbia brand strategy. Collaborate with external partners to co-develop unique and interesting capsules that will create buzz and drive positive sentiments with Columbia consumers.

Manage design partners (both internal and external) throughout full product creation cycle to ensure that resulting product line achieves its objectives and maximizes the sales and marketing opportunities for the Columbia brand.

Communicate Columbia brand DNA, product and channel strategies and other information to our third-party partners to help ensure that collab and licensed products, packaging and marketing communications are consistent with the Columbia brand.

Manage the team responsible for bringing to market Columbias licensed collegiate apparel line.


YOU ARE
An adept communicator both in writing and verbally.

A strong team leader.

Highly collaborative and work easily with cross-functional teams.

Detail oriented and highly organized.


YOUHAVE
Prior experience managing and mentoring direct reports.

A background in merchandising, product line management, design/creative project management, or related experience, ideally in a licensing, collab or team sponsorship setting.
