ABOUT THE POSITION

The BI & PowerApps developer is a member of the prAna Information Systems team reporting to the Information Systems Application Manager and will be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders, business analysts and project management to deliver high quality solutions.

This role will be required to support existing deployments of PowerApps and Power BI data analytics solutions by responding to business defect and enhancement requests. In addition, this role will work closely with business stakeholders, business analysts and systems analysts to define, develop, deliver and document new solutions for our business that may include product development, planning and retail departments.

This is a highly visible role that will require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to ensure successful delivery of solutions. It requires an ability to work closely with end users, prana Information Systems and Information Technology teams and our Global Information Systems team at Columbia Sportswear when required.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Design, develop and support current applications within the Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate framework using both SQL database and SharePoint Online as data sources.

Analyze and convert new business requirements into technical specifications by collaborating with the stakeholders and IT Management, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.

Create end-to-end designs for each requirement and generate professional documentation for requirements, design, development, and testing

Support and enhance the current development lifecycle management process

Develop and support SQL database objects (Stored Procedures and Views) and conduct performance analysis

Investigate data issues and document root causes and resolutions

Support current Power BI data models and perform detailed analytics on performance

Support and develop complex DAX measures in new and current PowerBI data models

Create Power BI Desktop reports and Power BI Services dashboards based on business requirements

Redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance existing Business Intelligence systems

Support and conduct end user training, when required on both PowerApps and PowerBI tools.

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.

5-8 years of professional experience, and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.

Experience building Office 365 solutions including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online.

Experience with Visual Studio and TFS or other source control management tools.

Experience with SharePoints application services framework including implementation, configuration.

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services a plus.
