About the job

Manage financial and administrative functions of the Vietnam liaison office to ensure that the financial expectations of the company are met while operating in accordance with corporate, regional and local laws. This position will play a leadership role in all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, including the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and ad hoc reports. Establish policy and procedure in each event to ensure consistency and accuracy of data.

Accounting and taxes
Manage and review bookkeeping on daily basis to ensure transactions are captured properly in SAP.
Manage and post accounting entries for month-end book close.
Review Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts to ensure balances are fairly stated.
Prepare and examine tax filing/declaration as per local tax regulations for company taxes including Annual Corporate Income Tax, Monthly Personal Income Tax, Monthly Value Added Tax and Foreign Contractor Tax.
Perform calculation of service revenue, post revenue entry and issue invoice to customer.
Forecast and Budget, Budget Control
Cooperate with Country Manager and Senior Management Team to develop the annual and seasonal administration and budgetary plans for the liaison office based upon corporate fiscal business plans and Columbia Sportswear guiding principles.
Conduct variance analysis between actual and latest forecast versus previous forecast.
Monitor and evaluate spending performance to budget to determine cause for over/under budget scenarios and re-forecasting where necessary.
Internal Control and Legal compliance
Oversee Company operation and ensure compliance with local laws as well as corporate policies.
Stay updated with changes to local regulation and corporate policy and propose business changes to ensure compliance to said policies and laws.
Cashflow forecast and management
Monthly forecast and monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funding to cover expenses.
Contract review
Review vendor contract terms & conditions for compliance purpose and monitor supplier performance.
Reporting
Execute all statutory and corporate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements as outlined in local law and corporate policy.
Other tasks
Upload salary payment in batch to HSBC system
Review vendor payment uploads in HSBC system
Assist in procedures relating to Company Representative Office closures.
Manage relationships with all banking and 3rd party suppliers.
Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned


Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in public accounting and 2-3 years in a multinational enterprise, and holds current Certified Chief Accountant designation.
Experience with a global ERP system; preferably SAP
International exposure to foreign operations thorough the understanding of GAAP. Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis, and strong organizational and communication abilities a must. Work experience directly related to the management of people is preferred.
Possess the ability to translate, consolidate, and prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts.
Ability to prioritize tasks and activities frequently with deadlines.
Well-developed ability to read, write, and speak English, in relation to topics of a highly complex or technical nature.
Mental ability required to conduct complex business operations, manage interpersonal interactions of a complex and critical nature, develop and cultivate personal and professional relationships within and outside the company.
