ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting directly to the Director of NA Merchandising, the Product Merchandiserwill be responsible for driving footwear assortment direction, category vision and marketplace strategies that align with Sorels overall growth initiatives. As a leader on the merchandising team, the Product Merchandiser utilizes an in-depth understanding the consumer and marketplace to be a key influencer in shaping the seasonal product offering, from concept to launch.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Drives footwear assortment strategies and influences product direction by leading with a consumer-centric approach that both enhances brand initiatives and facilitates meeting financialtargets

Partners with cross-functional leaders, to include collaborating with Sales, Product, and Marketing to ensure alignment on category strategies andpriorities

Optimizes opportunities by being the driving voice for regional needs at all go-to-market touchpoints, with special emphasison linereviews

Leads/executes segmentation and differentiation across multiple channels, and identifies new segmentationopportunities

Provides insight and analysis on consumer trends, retail landscape dynamics, and any other relevant influencers that affect consumerdecisions

Attend key account meetings, trade shows, and market visits. Capturing and presenting retailer feedback to be shared with relevant partners.


YOU ARE
Persuasivecommunicator with finely honed negotiation and influencing skills; awareness of the needs of theconsumer

A self-starter who brings a level of passion, enthusiasm, and focus to their business and can guide partners with a positive and entrepreneurialapproach

Able to lead, manage and influence in a matrixed environment; drive alignment between product, sales, andmarketing


YOUHAVE
3-5 years of related experience (retail, product line management, merchandising, buying, product development & design)

Ability to analyze and translate trends and market information to inform category and product positioning, distill and prioritize business opportunities to make effectivedecisions

Strong business acumen - continuously evaluates competitors and the marketplace to creatively capitalize on marketopportunities

Experience designing and delivering compelling presentations for small and largeaudiences

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Organizational skills with experience managing complex projects, critical paths/timelines
