About the job

The eCommerce Merchandising Assistant manager is responsible for developing e-commerce business strategies to maximize sales and profits for the Columbia, Mountain Hardwear and SOREL brands' online stores.This position will also be responsible for driving site content and functionality to enhance the customer's online experience to increase website visitors and maximize online sales.Develops and communicates well with internal stakeholders including Merchandising (product development), Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Allocation, IT, and Customer Relations.

Responsibilities:
Build compelling briefs and storytelling for our consumers with a strong product foresight and deep product experience.
Build and implement the merchandising plan for the product line that supports the categorys seasonal strategies and delivers growth
Work closely with the product development team, managing resources to complete the seasonal product strategies, assortments, and business needs.
Build and sustain positive relationships with key cross functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Planning)
Present the seasonal product line to internal & external stakeholders effectively in multifaceted settings.
Develop sales plans to maximize sales and profits of the owned online stores
Plan and develop exclusive products for the owned online stores and other external online malls collaborating with the Product Development team
Manage budget and expenses, analyze sales and web access for online malls
Maximize site performance and improve the customer's shopping experience
Work closely with third-party vendors to improve the performance and quality of the owned online stores
Enhance and improve the owned online sites contents
Work closely with the Customer Relations team to respond quickly and appropriately to customer inquiries
Manage team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Performs other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors Degree or above
5+ years of experience as a product merchandiser in the outdoor or fashion industry
Thorough knowledge of eCommerce merchandising of sports/outdoor and/or casual apparel
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for fashion and outdoor activities
Knowledge of online marketing methods and best practices
Strongly analytical and has problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
Detail oriented & accountable to deliverables
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required; Illustrator & PDM systems are plus
Strong team player, positive disposition & flexible attitude
Self-starter, proactive, inquisitive, creative, problem solver
