ABOUT THE POSITION
The Columbia Sportswear Legal Department protects company interests across the globe, advancing company strategy through high quality advice, and support to all brands and regions. Our aim is to safeguard our most valuable assets, and assist in the creation of a competitive industry advantage while managing risk, and ensuring compliance with global laws and regulations.

The Global Real Estate Lease Administrator is a member of the Legal Department, managing all functions related to Lease and Contract Administration, including maintaining the lease database, Global Real Estate Contract database, and ensuring Columbia Sportswear is aligned with real estate policies and procedures.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Manage the Global Lease Database, by creating lease abstracts, entering leases, ensuring terms and critical dates are correct. Partner with global internal stakeholders to translate foreign leases in abstract form. Accuracy is key as rent is paid based on lease database reports, and reports are generated from this system for our Securities filings
Manage construction contract and agreement workflow, and complete contract review checklist ensuring legal, accounting, risk management, procurement review and compliance. As requested, audit implementation process and paper trail to further ensure compliance
Track Lien waivers related to all construction, obtain certified, final lien waivers, and create tenant improvement allowance reimbursement packets. Obtain signatures for the affidavit from our CFO and submit to landlord for reimbursement of our allowance within the timelines specified in the lease
Pull monthly status reports from Lease Database and submit to manager for review. Assist implementation team by providing status reports on upcoming/open/expiring lease and/or contracts and real estate critical dates
Enter Purchase orders, leases and/or contracts as required, ensuring approvals are processed and POs are issued in a timely manner to vendors
Develop and maintain database of real estate and associated agreements, real estate brokers, general contractors and associated agreements, vendors, and service providers and their associated agreements
Manage the review of all Landlord requested Estoppel certificates and Subordination Non-Disturbance and Attornment (SNDA) documents for accuracy and ensure consistency with lease terms and arrange for manager review/approval and Executive signature
Support Retail Accounting with review of Common Area Maintenance and Taxes charges by landlords as needed, to ensure we are not overpaying in accordance with our lease terms
Track all business license renewals by renewing/paying, logging in ProLease and sending licenses to store managers. Act as administrative support to department Director, including calendaring, booking travel, monthly expense report reconciliations, preparation of presentation materials

YOU ARE
Organized and adept at prioritization
A natural problem solver

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree or equivalent, in Business Law with expertise in lease/contract review, project management or a related field, or equivalent through a combination of work experience and education
Minimum of 5 years experience working with lease and construction documents, project schedules, capital budgeting, business documents, financial reports
Demonstrated ability to read and understand lease documents, construction agreements
Experience with ProLease and Ariba preferred
Applied knowledge of retail store operations, processes, procedures, and their impacts on real estate project management a plus
