ABOUT THE POSITION
Columbia Sportswear Finance & Accounting teams oversee the financial health and forward strategy for a portfolio of four global brands. These teams exercise expertise across Compliance, Credit, Financial Planning and Reporting, Tax, Treasury, and Strategy. Advancing traditional Finance & Accounting functions, the organization is also driving exciting innovation in the application of advanced analytics and automated intelligence.

Columbia Sportswears Retail Brick and Mortar Finance Manager is a critical position supporting the Companys growing U.S. Retail business. Leveraging financial planning and analytical skills, this position plays a significant role impacting critical strategic and operational decisions. This position is part of a cross-functional effort that includes our Financial Planning and Analysis and U.S. Retail teams as well as other organizations within the Company.
Some domestic travel will be required.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Forecast, Budget and prepare Long Range Plan for brick and mortar within the Columbia brand, driving annual and strategic planning processes to support business leaders with financial and operational analysis geared toward profit initiatives and business cases
Drive analysis and reporting for retail store business performance, status of key initiatives, and financial results via monthly forecasts and P&L variance analysis.
Oversee capital investment planning and real estate analysis of new store development supporting executive committee approval with ROI analysis and business case summaries. You will further coordinate with the Real Estate team to monitor capital-spending budgets for all new retail doors, renovations and new programs. Report monthly on actual spend to plan and provide financial support for all spending programs
Coordinate with Store Operations to plan and forecast all store 4-wall expenses, including Labor planning and financial analysis. Here youll lead field teams and corporate cost center managers in the effective management of labor plans, headcount and expense management in alignment with corporate objectives
Collaborate with Merchandise Planning, Store Operation and Global Planning team leaders to effectively plan, manage and communicate business risks and opportunities to improve gross margin, freight and inventory across the cross functional teams
Create effective benchmarks to measure key business drivers and improvements. Keep abreast of industry trends, benchmarks and best practices which could improve retail operations, reduce costs and improve customer experience in our retail stores.
Develop and lead senior financial analyst via regular status meetings, development of IDP and performance reviews

YOU ARE
Proactive, exercising strong financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning concepts
Highly organized, adept at project prioritization and attention to detail

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering or a business-related field (MBA and/or CPA is preferred)
10 years of professional experience in accounting, financial analysis or another related field
Demonstrated experience presenting financial analysis and recommendations to a business unit leader
Applied experience with business systems planning including SAP, Cognos
Sales forecasting and expense planning for multiple locations
Cross-functional project experience and initiative management
