Our Global Financial Compliance (GFC) team plays an important role in partnering with the business and management to design and deploy a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program that mitigates the risk of material misstatement, while effectively responding to ongoing changes and shifts in dynamics. Our program affects a variety of critical stakeholders including the Audit Committee, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Information Officer and other members of the leadership team as well as the investor community that relies on the accuracy and completeness of the financial information we report.You will play a critical role in supporting core program operations, including assessing and responding to risks. You will leverage your experiences and skills to help ensure that our SOX program maintains pace with our rapidly evolving business environment. You will also be energized by the opportunity to help continuously improve our program. Consolidation Responsibilities:This accounting position will prepare the monthly consolidation, including consolidated financial statements, eliminations and supporting schedules. You will distribute financial reports to senior management and accounting leadership.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Department: Columbia Sportswear Company continues to evolve at a rapid clip, responding to external global dynamics as well as transforming our internal processes and systems to drive growth. In this environment of fast and significant change, its critical for our risk management and internal controls programs to keep pace.

Our program affects a variety of critical stakeholders including the Audit Committee, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Information Officer and other members of the leadership team as well as the investor community that relies on the accuracy and completeness of the financial information we report.

Position Introduction: As a Senior Financial Analyst, You will play a critical role in supporting core program operations, including assessing and responding to risks. You will leverage your experiences and skills to help ensure that our SOX program maintains pace with our rapidly evolving business environment. You will also be energized by the opportunity to help continuously improve our program.
In addition to the above , this role will also have Consolidation Responsibilities.This accounting position will prepare the monthly consolidation, including consolidated financial statements, eliminations and supporting schedules. You will distribute financial reports to senior management and accounting leadership
HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Build a strong understanding of our business in order to evaluate processes, identify risks, and design and implement effective internal controls
Help to maintain SOX documentation, including risk and control matrices, narratives, and business process flowcharts
Perform annual reviews of key third party service providers and their audit reports (SOC1)
Administer the quarterly control self-assessment program
Help to execute a management testing program to supplement the control testing performed by our Internal Audit team
Assist in innovating the use of our SOX compliance tool, AuditBoard
Prepare monthly consolidation, including consolidated financial statements, eliminations and supporting schedules.
Review and analyze financial data for accuracy.
Document policies and internal control procedures as necessary.
Proactively improve processes, accuracy and efficiency.
Perform self-review of work to identify problems and solutions.
Drive cross-functional issues to resolution.
Comply with internal controls to protect the assets of the company.
Assist with data validation and testing for ERP implementations
