The Principal Global Demand Planner is responsible for leading and guiding global demand planning team process and strategy while managing brand and category forecasting assignments. From Product Creation and Go-To-Market (GTM) processes through seasonal execution, this role creates and leverages analytics to lead and inform cross-functional decisions related to product assortment strategy, tracking key performance indicators, and inputs into Supply Chain decisions. Additionally, this role is accountable for driving a consensus Global Demand Plan considering multiple data and cross-functional inputs. Individuals in this role may also expect to drive and participate in continuous improvement activities and/or projects representing the functional team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead and drive global demand planning process improvement activities and best practices
Engage with key business partners to measure and improve forecast accuracy metrics season-over-season/year-over-year
Responsible for partnering with Global Finance on the seasonal financial targeting process and collaborate with Global Merchandising to reconcile a global, omni-channel forecast
Conducts operational reviews with Global Merchandising, Global Finance, and key business leaders and/or executive leadership
Facilitate and drive analysis for the long-range forecasting process for improved supply chain and manufacturing planning
Provide and present analysis related to seasonal hind-sighting, product line architecture strategy, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), and assortment optimization informing decisions related to product and supply chain execution
Operates as a key business partner supporting the product line plan development process, in collaboration with Global Merchandising, through style productivity and historical performance analysis
Lead, participate in, and coordinate internal and cross-functional business process and analytics continuous improvement efforts and/or projects
Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Management, or other applicable discipline; MBA desirable
Typically requires 8+ years of professional experience in enterprise and/or global planning, forecasting, supply chain, analytics, and/or related fields. Has a deep knowledge of the concepts and theories of the function. Requires broad understanding of the apparel/footwear industry and the global marketplace.
Strong forecasting skills, preferably with Blue Yonder and/or other statistical forecasting applications
Proactive and assertive in follow-through with business leaders, colleagues, and business partners
Functional Subject Matter Expert in Demand Planning
The ability to collaborate and influence others across various levels, regions, and cultures.
Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise business communication to audiences up and down the organization
Critical eye for evaluating data and translating to decision makers through storytelling
Strong analytical and data skillset leveraging Business Intelligence and visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau experience preferred)
High proficiency using Microsoft Excel and moderate experience using other Microsoft suite applications

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY
No supervisory responsibilities but acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May leads projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Operates as a Global Demand Planning lead providing input into the Demand Center of Excellence and drives process updates back to the Global Demand Planning team.

Influence and impact is beyond the scope of Global Demand planning and reaches across the enterprise
Ability to engage with business partners and leaders up and down the organization
Works under limited supervision and high degree of self-direction
Identifies and solves complex functional and cross-functional problems
Must be able to handle multiple competing priorities and prioritize according to business need
Adheres to defined deadlines

JOB CONDITIONS
Job may require hours that often exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week to complete priority tasks and projects. Job pressure exists in the balancing of a variety of projects, and numerous simultaneous deadlines. Job scope may include intermittent international travel (up to 20%).
