Columbia Sportswear’s Digital Technology (CDT) group enables an IT infrastructure and applications across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.The Quality Engineer I learns and develops knowledge and experience of software engineering in the areas of Automation, Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Delivery (CD), scripting and development languages to take an active role in implementing Automation solutions in a highly supervised context. This role uses understanding of command line, OS interfaces, environments, and development languages, to assist in maintaining software projects, releases, processes, and tools. This position requires a keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and mature communication skills in a collaborative environment across our enterprise.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Automation: Assists with maintaining automation solutions using internal and external tools supporting product teams throughout the enterprise.
Technical Design/Process Enablement: Works with Senior Quality and DevOps Engineers in the creation and implementation of Tools that facilitate development, QA, business, and release processes.  Can assist to implement solutions for technical problems as designed.
Pipelines: Assists with maintaining build and deployment pipelines supporting a variety of software development teams in the Enterprise.
User Management: Account creation and management for Users in DevOps and Quality Tools (examples: Jira, GitHub, Quality Center, Azure DevOps)
Releases: Ensure timely delivery and releases across Application and Service (e.g., Packages - SFCC, D365, SAP; Services - AWS, Azure and/ AEM) codebases
DevOps Enablement: Assists with sharing modern Quality and DevOps practices by working with and helping build automated solutions with teams throughout the Enterprise.

YOU HAVE
Bachelor’s Degree required Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Less than 2 years professional experience
Fundamental knowledge of software engineering in the areas of Automation, Continuous Integration (CI), scripting and development languages, command line and OS interfaces.
