About the job
Ensure timely efficient cleaning and maintenance of the Distribution Center.
Clean, mop, vacuum/sweep and dust all offices, conference rooms, work areas, lunchroom and lavatories. Wipe down all tables, counters and chairs.
Clean outside perimeter of buildings, removing debris and unwanted vegetation.
Clean all windows, doors and empty office wastebaskets.
Empty 30 – 50 gal. trash cans. Empty all large trash receptacles (up to 27 cubic feet) into the trash compactor.
Stock janitors’ cart with necessary supplies. Re-stock janitor supply areas from bulk supply storage, such as paper towels, trash bags, toilet tissue cleaning supplies, etc.
Push cart to work areas. Approximate weight of stocked cart is 165 lbs. which includes mop bucket with water and supplies.
Collect and sort facilities recyclables such as cans, paper products, glass, etc. Occasionally sort and compact corrugate.
Frequently lift/carry up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
Maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
Perform other duties as assigned

Incumbent follows established departmental practices and procedures.
Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked visually and by results.
Decisions are made within specific department guidelines.
