About the job

As aSupply Chain Specialist you will lead and oversee packaging relationships and origin logistics to ensure supply change stability, cost optimization, and compliance through effective management of internal and external relationships. You will pursue packaging sustainability targets while establishing quality specs that stand up to our supply chain challenges. This role will also work to support Columbia DC operational efficiency, and Account Ops direct-ship compliance. You will work with manufacturing teams to ensure that the global factory base receives the agreed to customer service levels through the program supplier. This will require you to develop new capabilities to support the changing customer and marketplace needs and opportunities.


Responsibilities:
Work with Logistics Service Provider teams to ensure origin operations align with agreed to SOPs and rates.
Oversee LSP managed vendor-compliance-program (VCP) to ensure our global factory base is supporting expected shipment standards relative to packaging, labelling, and documentation
Support or lead issue resolution activities related to supply chain standards and expectations
Support regular business reviews with our LSP partners
Manage packaging vendor (service provider) relationship to ensure alignment with production specs and service standards. Align with the LO teams to monitor program health
Manage biannual pricing activities and report to the appropriate teams. Include program updates
Organize quarterly business review sessions with appropriate attendees.
Maintain working relationships with Global Columbia DC engineering and inbound team leadership. Support issue resolution when necessary
Maintain working relationships with regional Account Ops team leadership. Manage new VAS requirements, and work with the packaging provider to minimize chargebacks
Maintain a working relationship with the Columbia CR team. Work with the Sustainability Manager to set reasonable targets for packaging
Ensure alignment with the agreed to Packaging Restricted Substances List (PRSL) standard
Secondary Functions:
Develop strategic plans and budgets
Work with extended supply chain teams to improve the overall network
Consult and input on requirements for factory management (FM) system understanding and oversite. Work with LO teams to ensure proper use of this system by our factories in creating factory ASNs and shipment documents
Serve as logistics expert on origin container freight station consolidation operations process. Including a deep understanding of the physical and data flows, defining of 3PL service expectations, escalation support with LO and factory, and 3PL CFS performance management
Drive continuous process improvement opportunities of CFS operations including facilitating 3PL CFS business reviews
Monitor and advocate origin container utilization strategies
Approve 3pl origin operations invoicing
Perform other duties and assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience
Qualified candidates will have at least 10+ years of relevant business experience with global logistics, packaging management; supply chain planning, and process improvement successes
Demonstrated top performance in prior roles, with increasing level of responsibility
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task as needed to complete projects as needed
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead internal stakeholder groups in solving current business issues
Experience working with a multi-national consumer products company is preferred
