About the job

Temporary Retail sales associates will demonstrate excellent customer service by assisting customers by phone or in person. They will provide information to customers on current product features and benefits, which requires maintaining current and accurate knowledge of product features, benefits and availability.

Additionally, associates must perform all required cash register transactions, such as sales and exchanges, expeditiously and with a high level of accuracy. Processing returns may also be required in absence of management.

Retail associates will be responsible for stocking merchandise by receiving daily shipments and distributing to the sales floor. They must maintain a neat and orderly appearance of store facilities by cleaning, organizing and tidying and keeping product sized and straightened.

A high professional standard in individual behaviour is also required of all retail associates; demonstrating respect, courtesy and professionalism.

Good interpersonal and service-oriented skills are required with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Basic math ability is also a requirement. Retail associates must have the mental ability to conduct interpersonal interactions with other company personnel and customers, and learn established guidelines.

Retail associates must have the physical ability to use telephone, computerized cash register, perform repetitive movements of the arms and shoulders, stand for extended periods of time, move freely around store, and regularly lift/carry up to 40 pounds.


High school education is required for this position, with experience in retail operations preferred.

These positions may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during peak periods. Incumbent must also be available to work weekends and holidays.
