Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role will focus on two primary digital channels; email and social media. The position is responsible for the day-to-day management of Mountain Hardwears social media presence as well as the briefing and deployment of weekly marketing emails. The ideal candidate will be an active participant in strategic discussions and aid in positioning Mountain Hardwear as a leading outdoor brand, supporting seasonal initiatives, increasing relevance with Mountain Hardwears target consumers and supporting sales.

Responsibilities:

Email
Oversee brand email calendar. Conceptualize and brief email stories, schedule and send weekly marketing emails.
Serve as lead copywriter for all Mountain Hardwear emails.
Lead QA process for emails, including devices, browsers and email clients.
Coordinate with ecommerce and marketing team to set email stories and launch dates. Brief in all emails to creative team.
Manage email lists and segments as well as automated email programs.
Collaborate with Senior Marketing Manager to build acquisition strategies to identify and retain new subscribers.
Set testing roadmaps and employ A/B testing to optimize emails for deliverability, open rate, engagement and mobile rendering.
Report on email performance, including open and click rates, conversion, etc.

Social Media
Understand Mountain Hardwears brand and seasonal strategy and the role of social media.
Responsible for day-to-day management of all Mountain Hardwear social media initiatives and briefing of social media calendar.
Build and sustain brand conversations across various social media channels as well as manage and protect brand perceptions online. Engage in online communications with on-brand, engaging and authentic content.
Proactively monitor social feeds and conversations relevant to the brand and industry.
Route requests to the respective departments (i.e. Customer Service, PR, etc.).
Regularly present opportunities, implications and key learnings with marketing team.
Work with Senior Marketing Manager to set goals, summarize results and implement tracking solutions for both short term and long-term strategies.
As needed, support with briefing and trafficking of paid social assets.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree or equivalent and or experience specializing in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or related field.
2-3 years of marketing experience with a focus on social and email.
Ability to build and sustain brand conversations across various social media channels.
Keen sense of awareness within the internet culture with a strong understanding of the digital marketing environment, including web, mobile, media and advertising.
Well versed in various social media channels.
Experience working with an ESP (Email Service Provider).
Ability to effectively present ideas to larger groups.
Experience managing integrated social media platforms.
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various groups both internal and external.
A solid understanding of analytics, measuring and interpreting key campaign metrics.
Knowledge of SEO and basic keyword search.
Experience with an advertising agency or in-house marketing group.
Thorough understanding of grammar and usage of the English language as well as familiarity with standard reference texts.
Strong copywriting / editorial experience in an advertising or marketing environment.
