Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Analytics Center of Excellence. The Analytics CoE is responsible for driving the culture of analytics as a core capability within the organization helping the business continue its path to data literacy. The team will deliver products at scale, in partnership with the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team. The Analytics CoE will be working closely with business partners to identify opportunities and develop standardized analytical and scalable approaches.The Data Analyst, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Business Analytics, will support the delivery of multiple data and analytic initiatives across the enterprise. The person in this role will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, utilizing tools to provide insights for business partners.


Responsibilities
Develop close working relationships with business partners to understand objectives and ensure that analyses performed will help inform and drive strategy
Scope, validate and document business requirements and translate into technical asks
Work closely with business partners, Enterprise Data Steward and Data Governance team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data definitions/ calculations
Develop methodology (standardized, repeatable and scalable solutions) in collaboration with business partners and other members of the Analytics CoE
Leverage problem-solving ability and technical skills to develop and maintain business models, reporting systems, data automation systems that support key business decisionsUtilize tools such as SQL to build data sets from various sources, manipulate data and drive meaningful insights
Ensure data availability and quality in partnership with technical teams
Develop performance reports/ dashboards and drive the storytelling approach to help the business interpret the results

Collaborate with the Advanced Analytics team to develop advanced measurement models and capabilities leveraging best-in-class methodologies
Act as a subject matter expert on visualization tools and provide training when necessary

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant quantitative field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the analytics space and working with data from multiple sources including both on-premise and cloud-based
Proficient in SQL and preferably a statistical programming language, i.e., R, Python, SAS
Proficient in the use of visualization tools, Power BI preferred
Experience with Microsoft Stack preferred
Aptitude to synthesize and create a cohesive picture from a wide variety of information sources
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills in a business setting and ability to develop creative solutions independently
Ability to communicate complex quantitative insights in writing and orally to both technical and non-technical audiences
Solid time-management skills and able to work on multiple tasks or projects concurrently
Extremely organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and flexible
Strong interpersonal, written, communication and relationship-building skills
Experience partnering with both business and technical teams preferred
