About the job

As a Costing Analyst you will be driving innovative data analytical solutions that empower and inform cross functional apparel product creation teams to facilitate decisions to achieve efficient and competitive cost to provide sustainable value to the consumer. We are looking for someone who is passionate about data, mathematics and Excel.

Responsibilities:
Interpret costing data, identify trends and communicate findings to a wider diverse audience
Analyse sourcing region & vendor cost data and proactively communicate cost analytics to assist product creation team to make product decisions that enable optimal product value to the consumer and target margin achievement
Collaborate with Costing Engineers and Liaison Office, on predictable, competitive and sustainable product cost reduction projects and initiatives
Manage cost drivers and identify areas causing margin erosion to assist with corrective action to close gaps in margin
Partner with broader Costing, Liaison offices and Product Engineering teams to continue development and implementation of cost standards, tools, and effective processes that enable efficient and accurate product cost
Monitor finish good vendors cost performance to standards and ensure in season cost expectations are being met
Analyse macro & micro economic trends and global free trade agreements to support sourcing decisions

Requirements:
Minimum Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Business or Economics
Expert in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.)
Intermediate to advance skills in building and deploying Excel macros/VBA for use by others and proficient in the use of visualization tools, Power BI preferred
Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills, detail-oriented, resourceful and flexible
3-5 years of experience in apparel or other soft goods sourcing, costing, logistics, planning, production, or a manufacturing environment is preferred
Ability to work well with individuals of different countries and cultures
Understands ambiguity and can work in an evolving environment
Ability to deal with work and time pressures to accomplish job requirements in an efficient and effective manner
Role may require 50+ hours per week, usually with 8-10 hour days. Attendance at evening/weekend meetings may be required
Potential to travel internationally
