About the job

As the Omni-Channel Allocation Manager you will lead the efforts to optimize our use of inventory and maximize customer order fulfillment through techniques leveraging the Allocation Team and process. In this role you will lead the Allocation Team as the liaisons between Distribution, Sales, Planning and Account Services in relations to prioritization and effective utilization of inventory. This position is also responsible for developing and executing the company allocation rules and ensuring strategic delivery and shipping objectives are achieved. It will be essential for this role to establish a collaborative cross-functional partnership with the key stakeholders including Sales, Regional Planning, ATP, Distribution and Account Services to maximize best use of inventory and on-time and in-full shipments to customers.The Allocation Manager will lead efforts to analyze data, model potential scenarios, drive process improvement, and implement strategic initiatives in order to provide visibility to the overall order book and to achieve profitability, customer coverage and inventory goals.

Responsibilities:
Provide strategic vision and leadership in Allocation process and tools
Lead team execution to support corporate Allocation rules and develop process and strategy. Work in complex and dynamic situations, leading recommendations and action plans
Develop and execute modelling and forecasting activities in coordination with senior leaders to achieve shipping and delivery targets. Input bottoms-up perspective of order book execution into corporate forecasting process
Develop strategy on when company allocation rules should be flexed to respond to constrained supply (allocated products, production delays, production fall-out, etc.). Partner with Account Services and Sales management on initiative execution and specific scenarios seasonally
Lead and continue to improve DC Shipment forecasting:Lead team to maximize our DC shipments for timely revenue realization by brand/channel/region
Lead DC communication and team execution around allocation, delivery processes and order flow
Forecast process improvement to drive <5% error for monthly and 0% error for quarterly forecasting through strong analytics and strong collaboration internally/externally
Develop and manage tools to support forecasting and shipment tracking

Work with Account Services, Planning, Distribution and Sales management to implement best practices and operational initiatives. Possess an expert understanding of the up-stream and the down-stream processes and high-level systems flow in order to determine the impact of process changes. Provide leadership in determining gaps and opportunities in the effectiveness of regional and/or channel planning and operations systems and processes
Provide direction on how Allocation Analysts should interact with the ASRs, Sales, and Planning on how to interpret the available to promise results. Communicate the why behind the results. Educate key partners through process and analytical understanding. Central resource to provide guidance to partners around the performance of the order book
Build analytical solutions to provide visibility up to management and executive leadership on order coverage and performance with analytics to support strategies. Ability to present clear and concise results with recommendations to Executive and Director level audience
Lead Account Operations reporting strategy and spearhead improvements. Develop certified report views, provide high level analysis of information and make recommendations for decision making to support aspects of the order management process (order fill rate, on time delivery, order accuracy, pricing, order creation timeliness, and chargebacks). Provide scenarios and trend analysis to determine ways to maximize on-time customer order fulfilment. Collaborate with Account Services, Sales and Planning leadership to develop strategies to impact metrics
Provide vision around and create metrics to establish a baseline and better understand shipping execution to manage order book performance. Lead engagement with management on areas of concern and areas of focus. Collaborate with key stakeholders on recommendations to drive improvement
Provide direction to team to drive operational strategies and support tactical execution
Leadership:Hire, coach, guide and lead direct reports. Clarify individual and team goals and performance measures. Support development planning and team member motivation to maximize individual satisfaction and performance
Participate in Account Operations Leadership, supporting our culture, coordination between functions, consistency in expectations/outcomes and high partnership between all management team members


Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 8 years professional experience, 3-5 years management experience preferably in supply chain management or relevant technical / business skills required to accomplish the job. Apparel/footwear industry experience desired
Experience in SAP Allocation process and systems
Experience in supply chain management, planning, or retail desired
Broad understanding of supply chain processes, procedures and internal structure and partners
International business experience desired
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive and assertive in follow-through with colleagues and business partners
Ability to prioritize tasks for a team and respond to urgent requests/inquiries with minimal supervisory involvement
The ability to collaborate and influence others
Professionalism/Interpersonal skills clear and concise business communication; ability to influence others, comfortable interacting with customers, sales reps and management team
Ability to represent Columbia Account Operations in Customer/sales meetings and conference calls
Proactive and assertive in follow through with customers and business partners
Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to apply experience and knowledge to provide creative solutions to problems
The ability to cope with conflicting constraints
Significant experience using Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, charts and pivot tables; using of functions such as sumif, vlookup, and similar
Experience using Microsoft Access, including running preformatted reports and creating simple queries
