About the job
The In-Store Marketing Manager is responsible for all in-store communication for all owned and partner stores and wholesale brick & mortar spaces globally. This position will create, plan, manage and distribute all seasonal ISM retail store communication directives and assets, including digital, for ISM and Wholesale. Lastly, this role will develop, lead and manage the process for creation of seasonal creative including briefs, reviews, updates, regional input and approvals.
Responsibilities:
Lead, plan and manage the strategy for all seasonal and 365 in-store communication including technology and other product signage, video content, way finding, imagery and graphics. Lead the global strategy for both DTC and Wholesale channels.
Create, plan and manage the design, content and production of twice yearly seasonal retail directives for all marketing stories, as well as sale, and regional retail needs and opportunities, for all brick and mortar channels.
Work with regional partners for both DTC and wholesale to optimize global creative for ISM development. Manage seasonal and regular communications with the regions regarding seasonal guidelines, recaps and feedback.
Be primary liaison for global ISM to regions, other Global Brand mgmt partners, and other business units.
Apply creative thinking to materials, substrates, and other methods of building in store signage, window displays, etc to lead with a Columbia mindset around the Brand, sustainability in materials and logistics.
Be aware of industry trends and retail environment to best inform decision making to create optimal seasonal executions for Columbia.
Responsible for product technology communication including copy and design, placement strategy.
Responsible for sale and markdown communication including copy and design, and placement strategy.
Develop and lead ISM strategy for each retail channel as relevant.
Participate as a global leader in the Global Brand Environments team, leading a virtual team of regional partners.
Manage annual team ISM Budgets and spend, making recommendations for efficiencies when possible.
Be primary contact for retail Co-labs and licensing programs that will be executed in Retail spaces globally.
Lead 365 branding standards for all in-store elements, and long term strategy for all in-store communication.
Manage global outside agency creative and production process including briefing, reviews and final approvals.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience
Experience in the Apparel and Footwear industry
Typically requires 10+ years of professional experience in a retail environment, both Direct to Consumer and Wholesale, and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.
Experience in global marketing and/or retail account marketing.
Strong copy editing skills.
Highly organized, ability to manage several projects at once over several seasons.
Experience working with outside creative agencies and contractors.
Experience in staff training, and creating training curriculums a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills, positive, energetic and team oriented.
Experience and/or knowledge of working in a global organization with diverse cultural and geographical stakeholders.
Flexible, and comfortable with change mgmt. and evolving organizational structures.
Relentless commitment to quality and efficiency
Experience and confidence in presenting to groups including senior management
Experience in creating, setting, and executing global ISM strategy, including creation of seasonal VM directives.
Willingness and ability to work across functional teams to gain strategic input, consensus and alignment.
Proficiency with general use office equipment to enable management and set up of conference calls, WebEx, Power Point presentations and large meetings.
Ability to travel internationally.
