The IS Developer IV position is involved in the planning, design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of complex business applications (software).

This person is going to be involved in a lot of areas. From working on our Omni-Planning initiative, to developing solutions in our current planning suite, to working on projects that are planned far into the future. We need someone who wants to create innovative stuff and think outside the box when tackling challenges. This role has broad opportunities to work across lines in the company on a small team of developers in the planning group.

Job Description
The IS Developer IV position is involved in the planning, design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of complex business applications (software). This is a critical role in the planning organization responsible for .NET applications in the planning space, supporting Omni Planning, supporting Logility SQL databases and building enhancements for Global Buying and Global Supply Planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide input to the development of short and long-range plans and roadmaps. Includes gathering, interpreting, and preparing data for studies, reports and recommendations; coordinate development activities with other groups and business partners as required.
Identify processes, methods, and technologies that will further Information Systems Departmental strategies related to performance, structure, access methods, and data integrity.
Be involved in developing programming estimates for tasks in hours and duration. Monitor programming progress, tracking actual results compared to estimates.
Directly develop and test solutions following leading best practices, GIS standards and procedures.
Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements through collaboration with business analysts and GIS partners, meets GIS standards and best practices.
Provide best practices and leadership across developer team, works cross functionally.
Production Support of current systems as scheduled or as required
Update, implement and maintain procedures
Provide backup to related positions.
Provide weekend application support
Perform all tasks related to Senior Programmer/Analyst, Programmer, Developer as needed.
Participate as a team member, project lead, project manager or consultant on critical development projects.
Participate as an ongoing member of IS Standards and IS Performance committees
Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
A Masters degree (or an additional 3 years of experience) in Computer Science, Business Applications Programming or an equivalent field.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in programming software, building and implementing solutions.
Require high proficiency in writing and reading SQL and programming in SQL
Require high proficiency in .NET and .NET Web programming, C# programming
Require experience with Microsoft Azure, DataBricks and Python
Excellent problem-solving skills
An ability to work independently and with limited supervision
Ability to prepare a variety of studies, reports and related information for decision-making purposes.
Ability to assist in training staff in the use of computer hardware and software.

Job involves a moderate to high degree of complexity in performing new and/or varied work situations. Assignments have few norms or standards. Operates from established and well known procedures, but may create procedures to meet assignment or project needs.

The majority of the work requires independent thought, creativity, and innovation. Receives some supervision but works independently. Work is generally reviewed on a project or assignment basis. Decisions are made within prescribed company policy guidelines and constraints. Errors in judgment may result in delays, computer downtime and the destruction of data.

Job requires hours that may occasionally exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week. Evening meetings/weekend work occasionally occurs. Some job pressure exists in the balancing of several projects with conflicting deadlines, as well as own time, to ensure the timely completion of projects.
