ABOUT THE POSITION
Columbia Sportswears dynamic global supply chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to get products to market quickly, safely, and in the most cost-effective manner. By leveraging data analytics, we are constantly pushing to make smarter business decisions and identifying innovative ways to make Columbia Sportswears supply chain more efficient and effective to meet our consumers ever-changing needs.

The Mercury Gate TMS Analyst will serve as a software technician and an expert in all technical aspects of Columbias Transportation Management System (TMS) in order to develop, maintain, and configure the TMS functionality to align with Columbias business requirements.

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Perform Mercury Gate TMS software application configuration, including attributes, workflows and user interfaces for Columbia
Coordinate issue resolution with vendors and cross functional teams including communication on status resolution with all necessary parties
Partner with internal stakeholders to design and/or develop a TMS solutions by assisting in the definition of project scope, work/project plans, and timelines
Configure software to support rates and flow business rules through LTL, TL, Ocean, Air freight, and parcel modes
Use LEAN supply chain principles to develop business process designs and improve operations via process re-engineering efforts
Use, develop and manipulate spreadsheets, data models, computer-generated reports, project management tools and various proprietary applications and system
Identify and effectively assess improvement opportunities for the TMS system
Actively contribute to business initiatives related to transportation & logistics models

YOU ARE A strong collaborator and have influencing skills
Superior in analytical problem-solving skills
Able to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests / inquiries with minimal supervisory involvement
A natural multi-tasker who can prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines
Able to apply experience and knowledge to provide creative solutions to problems

YOU HAVE Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Education Arts or Science or equivalent work experience
Deep understanding of full functional breadth of TMS capabilities, best in class solutions and best practices
Specific Mercury Gate experience
Overall end to end Supply Chain expertise, including: demand planning, warehouse management, distribution, shipping, execution, transportation, supply chain finance implications, freight audit and payment and how they function inside business and integrate inside the TMS
Working knowledge of the transportation industry
