ABOUT THE POSITION
As a member of the sales team, the Amazon Marketing & Brand Specialist is responsible for content management & marketing activities with Amazon and other web accounts to increase brand presence, increase customer engagement and ensure the growth of revenue and profitability according to sales projections. The overarching aim of this role is to accelerate and optimize sell through on Amazon as well as identifying opportunities through competitor and assortment analysis. The scope of this role involves all European markets Amazon is and will be operating in and requires a broad understanding of the legal frameworks across European countries.
HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
PRODUCT MERCHANDISING
Responsible for content management: A+ content, title/copy/product description/keywords optimization
Analyzing product offers to determine effectiveness and opportunity
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for keyword ranking & exposure also to be applied at Google search
Monitoring of market places (3P Share and price changes) to strengthen brand strategy
Assists with implementing product strategy and assortment to maximize sales and profitability of a given area
Weekly /monthly sell-through analysis and reporting of best sellers and worst sellers and advise on key actions
Assortment and competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities based on sell-through data and consumer behavior
Expected outcome: To measure and track effectiveness of content change with the goal of increasing sales & conversion while reducing costs and to ensure the right brand representation in the fragmented European market
MARKETING ACTIVITIES
Drive traffic and execute relevant digital marketing campaign working with the marketing and digital marketing teams
Analyse product trends and make recommendations and improvements based on data driven analysis. Must understand and influence Amazon selling ranking algorithm.
Data driven decision making for promotional planning, execution and optimization
Conduct monthly/quarterly/annual advertising plans working with 3rd party agencies
Monitor and measure marketing activities and reporting of the campaign results controlling ROI and success parameters (e.g. Vine, AMS etc.).
Align and adapt Amazon marketing activities to the general activation plan of the company with the marketing and e-com departments. Regularly (bi-weekly) exchange with marketing and e-com department to ensure communication and information flow
Expected outcome: To increase traffic towards our Brands & products to optimize sales
CROSS FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
Work with the sales team to optimize Amazon content and support processes for effective launches and content refresh for existing products
Partner with Channel Manager to help ensure execution of seasonal financial plans and merchandise strategies.
Inform and implement creative promotions and marketing campaigns in close collaboration with the marketing and e-com departments
Assist with the execution of merchandising and marketing strategies that will lead to meeting and exceeding sales and margin goals.
Liaise and partner with other cross functional teams such as Product, Account Services, Operations and local marketing sales.
Expected outcome: To work closely with the marketing and ecomm team to create the online brand experience and match the assortment and promotional activity
YOU HAVE
Bachelors/Master degree in Business, Digital, Communications or Merchandising or applicable certification and/or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years experience in digital merchandising & trade marketing with a focus on online channels.
Experience with Amazon Vendor Central is a MUST
Knowledge in PPC Management (Amazon Sponsored Product & AMS)
Track record of managing AdWords, Amazon Sponsored and Social campaigns
Proven SEO management experience
Possess knowledge of merchandising, affiliate marketing and social media marketing
Market awareness of external retail trends
Understanding of retail math including intricacies of open to buy, inventory turnover and gross margin
Working knowledge of Excel including writing formulas
YOU ARE
Fluency in English is a must, an additional language is an added advantage (German or French)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Established method of personal organization
Ability to manage budget, workload and meet deadlines
