ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswears Global Information Services (GIS) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

The Project Manager is responsible for directing and managing Global Information Systems projects from Discovery and Authorization to full Solution Adoption, Operationalization, and Stabilization. This role will provide leadership, guidance, and oversight of all project activities to enable maximum value throughout the project lifecycle. The Sr. Project Manager is the key liaison between Senior Executives, Stakeholders, the GIS Leadership Team, Business Owners, and the Project Management Office (PMO).

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Initiative and project definition, including scoping, scheduling, and benefit / cost analysis

Communication and engagement with project sponsors, stakeholders, PMO, and GIS Leadership

Monitoring and reporting project status for budget, schedule, risks, issues, and project change requests

Planning, tracking, and adjusting resource forecasting with alignment to workload and project needs

Consultative problem solving with root cause analysis and preventive/corrective actions

Ownership for conducting project stage gate reviews and adherence to internal audit requirements


YOU ARE
An excellent communicator that can effectively prepare and present to senior executives

A leader and team builder than can inspire others and ignite passion around a shared vision

Capable of building great relationships that establish both credibility and influence

Emotional intelligent and display a positive, results driven outlook which energizes and motivates teams to succeed

Able to operate independently and utilize sound judgement in highly complex situations oft

An analytic thinker and problem solver who enjoys diving into problems and finding creative solutions

Highly structured with the ability to organize others around you


YOUHAVE
10+ years of professional experience, ideally with a minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience

Experience in working in a PMO, managing multiple projects across multiple areas

Demonstrated understanding of software implementation methodologies, tools, and best practices

Global understanding and willingness to adjust work schedule to accommodate global time zones

Experienced in leading remote teams preferred

Experience in working in an organization moving towards Agile using Azure DevOPS will be a plus
