ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Project Manager on the prAna Information Systems team, you'll be responsible for coordinating and ensuring successful completion of technology projects within prAna. You'll provide program leadership and communication, define project management standards, partner with cross-functional departments, and provide oversight of project activities to enable maximum value throughout each of the projects lifecycles. This position coordinates cross-functional resources in both the business and technical areas, establishes and manages project timelines, communicates deliverables, and ensures clarity of roles.
This position has frequent interaction with many areas within prAna and our parent company Columbia Sportswear Company (CSC). This necessitates excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills. This position has deep working relationships with prAnas COO, VP of Strategic Initiatives, Business Leadership, Technology Managers, Technology Team, and Business Partners
The position will focus on ensuring consistent delivery of solutions to the business and may include:
o Point of Sale Systems
o Planning Solutions
o Product Lifecycle Management tools
o Physical and Virtual Infrastructure
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Project Management
Work with stakeholders to ensure successful completion of a projects functional requirements
Develop project and development schedules based on requirements, accurate scoping of the level of effort, and the availability of resources
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate understanding of the complexity of various requirements, and follow-up with internal and third-party resources
Identify and partner with project teams and stakeholders to keep work on-track
Monitor and report project status in the areas of schedule, risks, issues, and project change requests
Provide problem-solving, root cause analysis, and preventive/corrective actions as required to support the project or program
Change Management Support
Document current state process flows, workstreams and resource owners
Gain stakeholder approval on the current state
Partner with internal change management resources within prAna and CSC to identify change impact and develop an integrated change management project plan for designated eCommerce technology projects
Coordinate project training and communication in partnership with internal change management resources
Support stakeholder engagement and training activities for impacted individuals and teams
YOU AREA proven leader with strong communications skills and the ability to present effectively to all levels of the business, including Senior Executives
Knowledgeable of software implementation methodologies, tools, and best practices
Someone who works well with others and has a positive outlook to energize and motivate people and teams
Self-directed and self-reliant with the ability to operate independently and follow general guidelines.
YOU HAVE
Bachelors Degree in business or Management Information Systems preferred
5+ years of professional experience, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience
Project Management training and PMP certification highly preferred
Experienced in working with a highly matrixed organization and ability to manage multiple streams of work
Direct experience working with eCommerce and web content management platforms; working knowledge and experience with eCommerce operations
Professional experience with industry-standard project management tools
Experience with project estimating, scheduling/planning, and tracking methods
Experience with business requirements gathering processes and use cases
Experience conducting effective project meetings with a cross-functional group of employees to achieve goals
Change management knowledge and experience strongly preferred
