This position will be emphasizing on setting, Implementing & managing the GSD program within Columbia and across Columbias vendor source base to establish fact-based labor costing practices. Based in Vietnam, this position will work in partnership with Regional Costing & IE Manager and HQ Apparel Costing team in leading the efforts on the successful roll out of the GSD project. Working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the project implementation is executed adhering to timeline and targets. Proactively working on continuous improvement of the process, identifying the future resources required as the project expands would be critical responsibilities of this position. Working closely with the vendors to address the concerns on project implementation. Driving the establishment of a quality GSD database, continuously improving the accuracy of the SMV values, and mentoring the GSD practitioners are essential responsibilities of this position.

ABOUT THE POSITION

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Develop a roadmap/project plan that incorporates details of the implementation schedule such as overall timeline, product types roll out and resources required.
Continuously improvise the project plan taking into consideration the actual status of the project and adjusting the future implementation schedule.
Continuous engagement with all the internal stakeholders and keeping them up to date on the project status.
Drive the development of SMV (Standard Minute value) database using GSD for sportwear & outerwear products and ensure the quality/accuracy of the database.
Rolling out GSD implementation at the regional LOs and with strategic vendors invested in GSD for fact-based labor cost calculation process to drive Labor cost predictability and competitiveness.
Be the subject matter of expertise to train/drive the IE specialist/Costing specialist and merchandisers to continuously improve the understanding of GSD methodology and successful implementation of the project. Provide support to HQ costing team whenever necessary.
Enable deeper working relationship with the vendors to ensure roadblocks and concerns are addressed and resolved
In-depth understanding of GSD system and providing directions to company and the vendors how each module can be effectively used that benefits both Columbia and the vendors
Drive the development of work instruction/SOPs to outline overall GSD workflow that encompasses method analysis, best practices, and alignment with vendors on the manufacturing policy.
Establish, share, and maintain GSD project reports such as project tracking reports and KPIs. Managing the communication of the reports at key development milestones.

YOU ARE
Expert in Industrial engineering, strong understanding of cost analysis, manage interpersonal interactions, and cultivate personal & professional relationships within and outside the company.
Project management skills and working across cross functional teams.
A Strong leader, able to manage and work with a team.
Strong presentation, communication, negotiation skills
YOUHAVE
Masters/Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing or equivalent
8-10 years of experience in Apparel Industry specifically in manufacturing/Industrial engineering
In-depth knowledge on Apparel manufacturing is required specifically on sportswear and functional outerwear
Experience of 5 years minimum in the role of GSD lead or specialist and having the experience of implementing GSD in a factory
Experience of 3-5 years in a Supervisory role managing a team of GSD practitioners/Industrial engineers in a company or a factory is desired.
