Reports to Asia Footwear Manufacturing General Manager Responsible for guiding Vietnam manufacturing engineering and production quality assurance teams with a product obsessed quality mindset, collaborating with China team from commercialization through production with seamless connection. Main focus is to drive high quality standard from the creation, communication, and implementation of Columbia/Sorel best practices, PFC and SOP standardization within factories, through seasonal commercialization, production trials and initial ramp-up, production planning and execution to ensure on time delivery performance with expected high quality commitment.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Reports to Asia Footwear Manufacturing General Manager Responsible for guiding Vietnam manufacturing engineering and production quality assurance teams with a product obsessed quality mindset, collaborating with China team from commercialization through production with seamless connection. Main focus is to drive high quality standard from the creation, communication, and implementation of Columbia/Sorel best practices, PFC and SOP standardization within factories, through seasonal commercialization, production trials and initial ramp-up, production planning and execution to ensure on time delivery performance with expected high quality commitment.
HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Lead Vietnam Engineers through the commercialization process including upper, bottom, and tooling engineering - within established timeframes from T2 to production readiness trial, by collaborating with China product team to ensure seamless commercialization.
Conduct & supervise procedures involving mold making between factories and mold suppliers. Provide constructive input for China team to review before first sample mold is completed.
Facilitate tooling commercialization and stock fit trials, coordinating with factories to confirm stock fit PFC, full size run pattern papers, drawings, tooling, dies, etc. prior to production readiness trial.
Drive product fitting from initial Tech Pack to Commercialization stage / grading review standardize PFC / SOP/ Key feature & process maps to ensure fit consistency & final product meets brand quality and performance standards.
Provide constructive input in the creation & lead the consistent implementation of Best Practices, model Key Feature maps, PFCs, & manufacturing SOPs across the Columbia Vietnam factory base.
Manage the Tech Package / Tooling Transfer process - Commercialization to initial production - to ensure accurate, timely, and smooth delivery from 1st to 2nd source factory.
Implement and enforce policies and guidelines aimed at producing quality components and footwear to meet CSC physical performance standards and RSL regulations.
Working with production managers to manage the entire production planning and execution with daily output, ramp-up plan, IE assessment, for on time delivery.
Drive team efforts to establish, rollout and manage quality metrics, reporting processes and monitoring practices to ensure consistent and timely socialization of quality standards and specifications internally and externally.
Guide production control by conducting initial production audit, B2B audit compliance, throughout production to ensure consistent quality to standards and on time delivery.
Consult Lean manufacturing manager to facilitate lean engineering practices for efficiencies and productivity improvement.
Establish a professional, industrious working relationship with factory partners. Build up relationship in a manner which ensures the name and integrity of the Columbia Company is continually held in high esteem.
Impart experience and knowledge within the team. Responsible for training and mentoring VN engineering, production and quality team, elevating skillset and value of individuals while explaining functional core accountabilities, goals, and job performance criteria.

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree in a technical, engineering, product integrity or quality management.
15 years footwear experience in footwear engineering, production and quality management.
10 years of team management experience and skillset.
Project management and process improvement skillsets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Vietnamese and Mandarin.
Solid leadership capabilities.
Demonstrated skill in problem solving and results orientation.
