ABOUT THE POSITION
Columbia Sportswear Finance & Accounting teams overseethefinancial health andforwardstrategy for a portfolio of four global brands. These teams exercise expertise across Compliance, Credit, FinancialPlanning andReporting, Tax, Treasury,Procurement and Strategy. Advancing traditional Finance & Accounting functions, the organization is also driving exciting innovation in the applicationofadvanced analytics andautomatedintelligence.

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be a member of a collaborative Procurement team, partnering with the procurement category lead on the execution of sourcing activities in support of Columbias Global Information Systems (GIS) and Ecommerce groups. Here you will be responsible for building effective business partnerships with varied internal partners and management levels. Key accountability will focus on identification, definition and execution of sourcing projects, as well as cost and contract negotiations to deliver savings and overall value against established goals.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Strategic SourcingPartner with key business stakeholders to initiate, plan and manage sourcing activities across multiple spend categories from inception through contract execution
Guide cross-functional teams through definition of business requirements, sourcing strategy development, contract negotiation and vendor selection
Analyze historical spend to proactively identify sourcing and savings opportunities
Develop and manage RFx activities in coordination with business partners to drive measurable savings results
Build strong knowledge within assigned categories and contribute to the development of category sourcing strategies

Contract Negotiation and Supplier ManagementFacilitate the contract negotiation and review process, working closely with business unit managers, Legal, Risk, Accounting and IT to ensure proper review and capture of business and legal terms
Facilitate ongoing supplier management activities, including business reviews, supplier scorecards and ongoing relationship management

Business PartnershipBuild strong working relationships with key business stakeholders in order to further extend the influence and value proposition of the Procurement organization


YOU ARE
Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Logical, with a knack for analyzing work assignments and problems
A born problem solver, focused on mathematical analysis
Research savvy, sourcing information on a variety of products

YOUHAVE
Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related discipline
3+ years relevant experience in procurement, sourcing or similar supply chain role
Solid working knowledge of procurement best practices, processes and procedures, and general understanding of accounting practices and procedures
Ability to run sourcing projects focused on the acquisition of goods and services, negotiate pricing, and perform related sourcing functions
Familiarity or direct experience sourcing various IT or Ecommerce categories preferred
