ABOUT THE POSITION
Columbia Global Manufacturing brings product ideas to reality in order to connect active people with their passions. We cover everything from raw materials development, product development, fit engineering, quality, sourcing and then the Liaison Offices that manage the product manufacturing.

As a Sr Data Analyst, you will support the Manufacturing team and play a key role in developing tools and reporting to enable data driven decision-making for the Global Sourcing & Manufacturing organization. You will also be responsible for partnering with various business units to identify business data use cases and to define critical metrics that will provide robust insights to the business through consumer, supporting brand growth and to achieve profitability. In this role, you will also be responsible for working closely with data architects to define data models and to bring data synergy between different data channels to eventually get to one consolidated source of data.

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Work with manufacturing business team and cross functional partners to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segment
Work closely with the Functional Business Owner, data architect to define, create models that depict trends in transactional and consumer data
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business objectives and provide analytics to best achieve those objectives.
Responsible for importing, transforming, validating or modeling data with the purpose of making it easily available to consume and to help business understand or draw conclusions from the data in order to drive decision making
Creates analytic content using self-service tools and enterprise data.
Train and coach business users on data and tools
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Conduct full lifecycle analysis to include discovery, requirements and design
YOU ARE Able to rapidly understand a business function, how that translates to data inputs and outputs
Curious and have an appetite for learning technical skills
Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation
Able to deal with work and time pressures to accomplish job requirements in an efficient and effective manner
An excellent communicator who effectively integrates with key stakeholders across the company and various business units

YOU HAVE Bachelors degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field. Work experience in lieu of education
5-8 years practical experience with ETL, data processing and analytics, with a focus on large database transactions; 2+ years in a data analyst role.
Experience with programming languages such as Java/Python an asset
Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) and PowerBi
Experience with Microsoft Azure stack (Azure Data Warehouse, Databricks, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI)
Knowledge of sourcing & manufacturing industry and common business terminologies
Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
