ABOUT THE POSITION
Columbia Sportswears dynamic global supply chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to get products to market quickly, safely, and in the most cost-effective manner. By leveraging data analytics, we are constantly pushing to make smarter business decisions and identifying innovative ways to make Columbia Sportswears supply chain more efficient and effective to meet our consumers ever-changing needs.

Do you excel in data analysis / modeling and thrive in situations where you can innovate solutions to optimize design while saving costs? Build and create a leading-edge Supply Chain, designing and delivering solutions using the Llamasoft Suite of Products, and other innovative solutions. Youll seek solutions to improve key metrics essential to performance (on-time delivery, cost, feasibility, etc.), and make significant contributions by solving global supply chain problems by participating in diverse and interesting projects that combine operations research, optimization, and simulation.

HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCEReview and validate data, build and validate models, run scenarios, and assist in the preparation of presentations and data visualizations
Assist with development of supply chain design project plans while participating in development of modeling approaches with supply chain functions
Fully document modeling approach, data sources and transformations, assumptions, and constraints
Support development of solutions to improve performance metrics and drive optimal delivery.
Identify and raise issues that impact project quality, scope, timing, or cost
Provide structured and creative analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and effectively communicate findings with leadership
Performs other duties as assigned

YOU ARE A strong communicator who can collaborate and influence others at various levels
Proactive and assertive in follow-through with business leaders, colleagues, and business partners, including a high degree of self-direction
Strong problem-solving skills and are solutions oriented
Able to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines
A user of Llamasoft Data Guru, Supply Chain Guru, Demand Guru and Optimization

YOU HAVE Bachelors degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience
5-8 years of professional experience and mastery of relevant technical or business skills required to accomplish the job
Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using Llamasoft software packages
Understanding of simulation and the differences between optimization and simulation
Familiarity with network optimization, inventory optimization, product flow analysis, operations planning, and cost to serve analysis
Specialized knowledge and expertise in own job discipline and deep experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge. Applies specialized knowledge of industry standards/practices on key projects and initiatives
Some programming skills a plus, especially in optimization software packages, Python, or R
Strong knowledge of principles, concepts, and theories within Supply Chain
