ABOUT THE POSITION
Our users work everywhere using a multitude of platforms, expecting reliability and transparent security with readily available data wrapped in an excellent experience. This position will provide leadership in identifying and/or building highly flexible client endpoints around the globe for Columbia Sportswear. You along with a team of fellow engineers will be responsible for the technologies you deliver end-to-end. Our goal is to create a client experience that is as powerful as it is seamless, allowing Columbia to achieve goals in all areas of the business.

We arent your typical endpoint team either. We run a fully modern managed environment, and our users are working from homes and offices around the globe on Windows and macOS. We run effective Sprints using Agile methodologies and continuously improve. Our secret sauce is that each of our team members has incredibly good customer service backgrounds, and always strive for the best endpoint experience possible.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Lead projects to implement or enhance anything related to client endpoint

Identify patterns and areas for improvement in assigned areas by applying scripting, automation, or application packaging and deployment methodologies

Provide training around client endpoint solutions to teammates and other engineering and support teams

Provide insightful projections and recommendations for client performance and stability

Represent the team and share information in project meetings relating to the client endpoint.

You have strong background in programming and strong knowledge in PowerShell.

Ability to automate cross platform solutions (e.g. VM provisioning from service requests)

Experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure AD joined device management

Knowledge and experience implementing solutions as Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Define and manage pipelines in Azure DevOps

Proven ability to architect, design, and oversee Columbias next generation client endpoint

Build and deploy bullet proof methods to provision client endpoints that could be laptops, mobile, virtual, or even retail devices

Measure and report on client health, particularly after the deployment of a new or updated technology package

Engineer every solution with simplicity, security, reliability, adaptability, manageability, and customer experience in mind

Resolve complex client engineering problems in a team environment

Continuously improve; enhance repeatable processes

Participate in an on-call rotation


YOU ARE

Due to high levels of interaction, it is imperative to be customer centric, high degree of customer service minded. This role has a high degree of complexity in performing frequent new, varied and unique work situations. Incumbent is involved in determining practices and procedures and contributing to the development of new ones, some tasks require generation of new ideas or approaches. In addition, incumbent may create procedures to meet assignment or project needs. Incumbent receives light supervision during project formulation, but works independently. Errors in judgment may result in significant losses of data or productivity with the result being financial losses, and incorrect decision making by Columbia Sportswear management. The positive result of achieving the position objectives would be the accurate, timely and understandable transformation of information.

YOUHAVE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology

5+ years of client endpoint engineering

3+ years of Microsoft server administration/engineering experience

3+ years scripting with powershell

Up-to-date experience with client management tools (Microsoft Intune, JAMF, etc)

Customer service is in your DNA

You are a curious engineer that is always learning and growing

Ability to explain complex ideas to a broad audience
