ABOUT THE POSITION
Our users work everywhere using a multitude of platforms, expecting reliability and transparent security with readily available data wrapped in an excellent experience. This is a Sr. Collaboration Services Engineer role with responsibility and accountability for the Collaboration services provided in Columbia as part of the digital transformation efforts and implementing multiple IT project initiatives. This role will serve as a solutions expert; to analyze and solve collaboration problems, work with the business to analyze needs, implement cost-effective solutions, and measure the effectiveness of solutions deployed. You along with a team of fellow engineers will be responsible for the technologies you deliver end-to-end. Our goal is to create a client experience that is as powerful as it is seamless, allowing Columbia to achieve goals in all areas of the business.
We arent your typical endpoint team either. We run a fully modern managed environment, and our users are working from homes and offices around the globe on Windows and macOS. We run effective Sprints using Agile methodologies and continuously improve. Our secret sauce is that each of our team members has incredibly good customer service backgrounds, and always strive for the best endpoint & collaboration experience possible.
HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
You are the Technical lead in complex global collaboration projects. Ensure solution is consistent with Columbia standards and/or create standards where they do not exist today
Soft Collaboration today include the full Microsoft 365 stack Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Teams Live, OneDrive, Power Bi, Stream, and a host of other point solutions throughout the business
Hard Collaboration tech including conference rooms (from simple to Microsoft Teams Rooms), desk phones, whiteboarding and more
Enable more effective meetings by allowing remote participants to be as engaged as physical participant
Improve productivity by reducing the need to travel back and forth between campus buildings and reduce travel expenses for regions and brands.
Define KPIs to track efficient and effective utilization of end user productivity, communication and collaboration tools and services
Deliver personalized, relevant content and communications to all employees including deskless or non-knowledge workers
Partner with our Operations org to ensure support and training are there for the teams who interact with our users
Work closely with Corporate Communications to assist with User communications and organizational change management
Provide a more engaging employee experience via a modern intranet solution
Communicate status on projects and issues to Columbia leadership as established
YOU ARE
You are a curious engineer that is always learning and growing
Customer service is in your DNA
Understanding of basic information security protocols.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing projects
Leadership experience with the ability to mentor/coach team in senior or lead capacity.
YOUHAVE
BA/BS in Computer Science or related discipline plus 5+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Microsoft 365 knowledge/experience is required
Experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure AD joined device management
Experience thoughtfully moving technologies to the cloud
Demonstrated proficiency in multiple infrastructure streams server, storage, backups, voice and network
