ABOUT THE POSITION

The eCommerce team powers our US and Canada Columbia.com sites as well as our Customer Care Center. From merchandising and marketing to product management and technology, the consumer is at the center of everything we do. And, the eCommerce team is known for the relentless improvement of the customer experience-always striving for a better, faster, easier experience.

The eCommerce Technology team is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester II with a solid understanding of technology platforms who can utilizes best practices among the quality team. The QA Tester will reviews test strategies, author test plans, and author and executes test cases. They will also use a variety of testing tools and methods, and update or create automated test cases.


HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Ensure thorough and complete resolution and closure of tickets once deployed to production.

Communicate status in daily meetings, fostering constructive and collaborative communication with others, both internally and externally.

Identify salient test cases based on product domain knowledge and traceability to use cases, enabling on-time sprint deployments.

Create and monitor status dashboards for tracking team progress, and assist developers in desk checks and testing.

Identifies and prevents defects early, drive analysis of post release quality and defect escapes, and implement improvements based on the results of analysis.

Proactively work to identify the root cause of problems and identifies efficient ways to reproduce issues; contribute to bug triage and prioritization processes.

Assess the testability of components and features built by development teams.



YOU ARE
Strong in written communication with attention to detail.

Able to review functional/technical specifications with a focus on testability and quality improvements.

Able to align quality goals with business goals.

Collaborative within cross-functional and distributed teams.



YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.

2-4 years of professional experience.

General familiarity with web technologies, browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.

Experience authoring and executing test cases and suites as part of regular production release cadence.

Solid experience with building regression and smoke testing suites.
