About the job

The full time Store Supervisor will be a member of the store management team and be responsible for providing leadership and direction while ensuring efficient and effective store operations to the sales floor. You will demonstrate your passion for the Columbia brand by driving sales in the store. You will lead and supervise a team of Sales Associates, provide guidance and direction to ensure exceptional customer service through coaching and development, and leading by example. You will train Sales Associates and perform store procedures including cash transactions, product flow, visual standards. You will oversee and authorize cash register transactions, perform regular daily store activities such as opening and closing procedures, balancing registers, preparing cash bags and activating security system. You will act as store manager in the absence of the Manager and Assistant Manager.

The successful candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. You must have the ability to conduct interpersonal interactions with other company personnel and customers, provide coaching and mentoring to staff, solve problems, make independent decisions and work effectively under pressure. Skills in operating personal computers, POS systems and various software packages including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English. Basic math ability.

Physical requirements include the ability to use the telephone, computerized cash register; perform repetitive movements of the arms and shoulders, stand for extended periods of time, move freely around the store, bend, twist, reach, squat, climb a ladder occasionally and regularly lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

The position requires a high school diploma. Two years experience in retail operations, management, supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
