ABOUT THE POSITION
The Quality Assurance Tester is an integral member of the prAna Information Systems team reporting to the Information Systems Application Manager and will be responsible for ensuring a high level of quality to solution delivery for our Direct-to-Consumer business.

This role will be required to work with the prAna Information Systems team to develop quality assurance strategies and standards and to ensure adherence during development and testing phases. In addition, the Quality Assurance Tester will assist in developing and executing end to end testing across multiple commerce-based systems including enterprise retail platform, email service provider platform, digital analytics suites, payment providers, point-of-sale and more.

The role will also be required to collaborate with our Columbia Sportswear Global Information Systems partners and Digital Centers of Excellence partners. This role works collaboratively across a matrixed organization and is required to have a thorough understanding of the prAna Direct-to-Consumer business in order to be effective.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Author test plans and test cases and validate with business stakeholders

Execute test cases in partnership with business stakeholders

Review and identify test strategies

Work with our Direct-to-Consumer systems partners to track and test changes resulting from incidents and change requests

Ensures complete resolution and closure of tickets, both internal and external, once deployed to production

Track and communicate status in regularly scheduled meetings and through project management tool

Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure code is tested at the appropriate level

Completes straightforward projects and provides input for enhancements to improve test coverage and processes.

Conducts regression testing after code releases are complete to ensure no new bugs are introduced to production

Proactively works to identify the root cause of problems and identifies efficient ways to reproduce issues. Contributes to bug triage and prioritization processes.

Assesses the testability of components and features built by development teams. Works with project team to establish quality standards or metrics and identify risks.

YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.

2-4 years of professional experience, and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.

Previous experience with Industry Domain knowledge preferably Retail/eCommerce

Previous experience with eCommerce platforms, preferably Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Authoring and execution of test cases and suites as part of regular production release cadence

Solid experience with building regression and smoke testing suites

Strong written and communication skills with attention to detail

General familiarity with web technologies, browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices

Ability to review functional/technical specifications with a focus on testability and quality improvements

Ability to align quality goals with business goals

Proven success working collaboratively within cross-functional and distributed teams based on strong team spirit, solid work ethic and good communication

Experience with Full Circle or other ERP platforms a plus

Experience with Payment providers a plus


Travel/Schedule Requirements:
Must be able to work occasionally on nights and weekends if needed
