ABOUT THE POSITION
The Senior Product Owner is an integral member of the prAna Information Systems team reporting to the Information Systems Application Manager and will be responsible for working closely with the key business stakeholder, quality assurance, and development teams ensuring that the needs of the Direct-to-Consumer business are prioritized and managed alongside other organizational workstreams.

Serving as a single point of contact for the business stakeholders, this role will be required to work with the direct-to-consumer business leaders to identify, define, scope and implement enhancements and defect correction across multiple platforms. Platforms may include our Full Circle ERP, email service providers, payment providers, analytics platforms, point of sale and more. This is a highly visible role that will require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to ensure successful delivery of solutions.

The role will also be required to collaborate with our Columbia Sportswear Global Information Systems partners and Digital Centers of Excellence partners. This role works collaboratively across a matrixed organization and is required to have a thorough understanding of the prAna Direct-to-Consumer business, with a heavy emphasis on eCommerce, in order to be effective.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Consults with key stakeholders to develop product vision and roadmap.

Engages with business stakeholders for user acceptance testing definition and participation.

Manages an active backlog of work in collaboration with stakeholders to prioritize deliverables that are in alignment with business strategies and goals.

Works closely with the Quality Assurance tester to ensure that testing requirements are clearly defined and that tests are performed.

Collaborates with stakeholders to capture and document functional requirements with use cases. This includes creating acceptance criteria and executing acceptance tests.

Provides clear information to developers on priority and timelines to ensure efficient delivery of work.

Actively engage with third party providers to identify scope and solutions for enhancements or defects. Tracking and managing the work and communicating status to stakeholders as required.

Participates in change impact assessments for projects and executes change mitigation steps to ensure business continuity.

Creates user guides and training materials for new functions and business process changes and creates business flow diagrams and use case diagrams for larger processes.

Administers training to end users when required.

Track and communicate status in regularly scheduled meetings.


YOU ARE
Self-motivated with great aspiration to surpass expectations through strong presentation and communication both oral and written.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Thorough knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management processes

Strong time management and project management skills


YOUHAVE
Bachelors degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.

5 - 8 years experience working within a product owner or product manager capacity required; preferably within a direct-to-consumer business

5-8 years of professional experience and strong competency with the various tools, systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job.

Exceptional communication skills, adept at communicating with technical and business teams

Experience soliciting and writing business requirements and managing a product backlog required

Agile product lifecycle experience preferred

Previous experience with Industry Domain knowledge preferably Retail/eCommerce

Previous experience with eCommerce platforms required, preferably with Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Experience with Full Circle or other ERP platforms a plus


Travel/Schedule Requirements:
Must be able to work occasionally on nights and weekends if needed
