About the job
Plan and develop product in cooperation with Merchandising team and Designer team. Responsible for selecting and developing overseas factories, researching materials, negotiating terms, arranging and instructing sub-materials, developing samples or products, requesting production, checking and writing instructions, setting schedules, managing deadlines, and controlling quality.
Creating and enhancing innovative products that increase customer satisfaction
Supporting manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development
Research outdoor market and materials, sales data to ensure that products are viable and competitive
Submitting proposals and designs for evaluation by the project team and management before moving to the next stage
Proactively reviews cost roll-ups for accuracy and analyzes business to achieve margin goals
Manage delivery dates
Identifies issues, clearly communicates the problem internally/externally and offers solutions to course correct in a timely manner
Fit Samples: Receives & logs fit samples. Reviews samples for accuracy with Design
Sends comments & communicates clearly and purposefully with overseas teams to drive the business forward
