The Technical Designer is responsible for executing the fit intentions of apparel categories that may include knit/woven fabrications of various categories for prAnas mens and womens divisions. Position will help maintain key deadlines for their categories to achieve a product delivered on-time with the best quality. This role will work in various categories to position for growth and a well-rounded knowledge base, while owning graphic and knit styles.
HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Execution and ownership of the intended fit and ensure fit consistency across all assigned styles Partner with Product Creation Team to achieve brand relevant, customer focus, high quality products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and fit adjustments, corrections and final grading
Maintain accurate WIP chart on all style statuses from proto stage through to production approval
YOUHAVE
Degree in Patternmaking, Fashion Design or Product Development recommended
2-4 years of experience in technical design, patternmaking, product development, design or production
Experience working with overseas factories a plus
Experience with Womens/Men's category lifestyle, active in Woven or Knitwear (Top/ Bottom/ Dress/ Skirt/ Sweater)
Basic pattern making skills, ability to modify patterns to achieve the fit intention
Strong technical knowledge of sewing, construction, and stitching machinery as it relates to product
PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Full Circle and Browzwear experience a plus
