ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswears Global Information Services (GIS) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.
The Sr. Manager Global Retail Application Support is responsible for the delivery of application support & maintenance services and is an integral part of the global Demand Chain Management and extended IT leadership team. This role is be responsible for ensuring systems availability, business process support, systems maintenance, incident management, request management, systems change management including supporting business operations and special events.
HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Business Relationship Management
Maintain close partnership with global/regional business and technical teams to identify business and application support priorities
Be the primary point of escalation for DTC business and technology teams for all issues related to the live environment
Engage directly with senior business/ technology leadership for continuous improvements to DTC application and environment health
IT Delivery
Owns and drives resolution and communication of production incidents working closely with SMEs and external partners
Lead proactive analysis such as MTBF, MTTR and draw insights to identify system and process improvement opportunities
Engineering Management
Own all aspects of engineering for DTC IT applications
Improve software engineering processes, practices and tools associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments
Technology adviser for the business and IT leadership to assess and solve complex business problems using technology
Provides technology thought leadership - assessing priority of new project requests toward ensuring added value, promoting our business strategies and/or advancing our technology objectives
People Management
Responsible for managing and developing a large team up to 20 resources, with diverse locations, time zones, environments and cultures and ensure team availability as the application portfolio grows or shrinks

A problem solver with the ability to identify potential and/or existing issues, evaluate available options and recommend corrective action

Passionate for continuous improvement of technology and business processes A leader that enjoys motivating teams to perform at their highest levels
YOUHAVE
Leadership and oversight experience of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions
12+ years experience in IT application development, implementation and support across multiple technology platforms
10+ years experience managing a globally distributed team consisting of internal employees and external partner resources
10 years of application vendor support and SLA management experience
5+ years experience with application and performance monitoring tools
Experience supporting Microsoft technology platforms such as SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Webservices, Azure, Dynamics365, Dot Net framework, C#, REST
Experience in fashion/apparel retail industry is a preferred
Key applications in scope include Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP & POS, Avalara, K3, Storeforce, Adyen, Retalon, MS Azure, ShopperTrak, JDA.
